Meet the Business Owner
Jill and Karen T.
Business Owner
Jill Marcus has never gone the conventional route in life. She skipped her senior year of high school, championed her college tennis team, then took a four-year trek through Europe, including the culinary exploration of France, Italy, Morocco, Greece, Turkey, India, Nepal, Yugoslavia, Greece and Austria. Along the way, Jill managed a variety of jobs and also managed to find herself. After getting her MBA through night school, she and friend Karen Teed started Something Classic out of their homes. Two sons, the consolidation of catering operations into one central office and five retail stores later, Jill has thrown more parties than one can count. So many, in fact, she’s thrown away her cell phone and concentrates on what’s really important: health and happiness. As a breast cancer survivor, Jill has a 2nd Dan Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. She’s also committed to the survival of the environment and started the Green Goddess Alliance.
