The staff of Silent Protocol are current state licensed Private Investigators and are empowered by state law (Statue) to conduct criminal and civil investigations. Detectives come under the NC Department of Justice.

These state licensed detectives are pretty special. They have to have over 3000 hours of training before getting their own license? The North Carolina Protective Service Board requires they each get an additional 12 hours before renewing their licenses. They even carry their own badge and credentials just like the Police.

Poppa J is better recognized by friends and family simply as Poppa. He is a former soldier and retired police detective, where he received several citations and accolades. In 1997 he opened his own investigation agency where he began writing and publishing trade articles for newspapers and trade periodicals and speaking at seminars.
