I so wanted to like this place, which is why I have gone about half dozen times. This is a very nice small-scale salon w/1 stylist. She is a fairly good stylist and I like her rates. She gets busy at times, but has the option for very early appts to beat the crowd. However, ultimately, have decided to stop going here because I cannot deal with the unprofessional and inconsiderate actions of the hair stylist here. The first incident was in December: She has an appt booking system via an online Scheduler, which I was super excited to have that convenience. I had scheduled an appt online and when it came time for my appt I received a text message from her that the shop was closed that day and had just been alerted of my scheduled appt. My gripe was that why wouldn’t she have set up the online scheduler to block appts during times that she is unavailable/closed?! I literally was en route to my appt when she texted me! As annoyed as I was, she contacted me a couple of wks later apologizing and asking me to return. Aside from this she does seem personable in the salon and I like the outcome of my hair. Also I was too lazy to seek another salon, to be honest. So, like an idiot I returned… The second, practically identical, incident occurred when I scheduled online for my appt yesterday, I arrive in the parking lot 8 minutes prior to my appt time only to receive another nonchalant text message from the stylist that she was not in today. My advice would be to not bother to come here. I have natural hair and she makes it look«okay», but I am sure I can find just as good or better in the area. On the 2nd instance of her not being in she did not even apologize, just sent a text that she wasn’t in, as if «oh well». Well, perhaps it should be considered that when a client books an appt it is likely due to them wanting/needing their hair done for a reason. I was leaving town early the next morning and had rearranged my work schedule that day so that I may make my appt on time in Charlotte rush-hr traffic. It would be nice if she had some consideration to adjust the online scheduler to accommodate her personal schedule so that patrons cannot make an appt during a time that she is not available(effing duh!!!). Have some consideration. I will not continue to support a business that does not give a damn. Obviously she doesn’t need my business! :-/Lesson learned…
