History

Established in 2005.

Robert Christopher Photography was born from the vision of Robert C. Watson, who started photography at the age of twelve. Robert started as successful commercial and fashion photographer before finding a passion for wedding photojournalism. Robert, born and raised in Charlotte, NC moved back to Charlotte in 2010 to pursue wedding photography full time after teaching in university for ten years. Today Robert Christopher Photography is a successful wedding, editorial, and event studio with appearances in multiple blogs, regional and national magazines and over 100, weddings and events photographed annually.

My name is Robert Christopher, I am a lover of crime dramas, sci-​fi, cooking, coffee, music, and traveling. In my spare time, I volunteer for various causes in the Charlotte area and mentor aspiring photographers in developing their photographic vision. I am deeply moved by the photography of Ansel Adams, and Gordan Park. I strongly believe in the power of the photographic narrative. I describe my style as a blend of photojournalism and artistic.

If I had one philosophy, which governs my life it could be summarized by Ralph Waldo Emerson when he said, «To laugh often and love much… to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to give one’s self… this is to have succeeded.»
