The deluxe cost me and my partner $ 40 each. The girl left the blue clay stuff on my calfs and I didn’t realize it until I was about to leave, the gal attempted to wipe it off with a damp towel and still missed a lot. I had to go home and scrub the rest off and wipe all the lotion off. I most likely will not be back to this place.

Loved the location, there’s a deli right next door in case you have to wait on the group you come with. My only complaint is the woman who did my nails, she was a bit older and quite rude to me. Did a sloppy job on my French manicure and was pushy for payment as soon as she was done even though I told her that my manicure was already paid for. I won’t let her do my nails next time, other than that a really cute place with a huge selection of polishes!

Not impressed. Beautiful interior but terrible gel manicure. Probably the worst i have ever gotten. I got my manicure last night and it is already starting to chip off on the ends this morning. My manicure was completely rushed– no cuticle work, no clipping, trimming or anything. Also my polish is thin and doesn’t even feel like a gel mani should. I normally go to a different salon– but wanted to give Polished a try. I will not be going back. They need to seriously step it up.

Worst place to go for your nails. You pay for the drinks but not the quality of the service… which is why you go to the nail salon. They did a horrible job on my gel polish. It is not smooth or even. I asked for a gel polish and he charged me for a gel manicure and said its because he had to trim a nail. I did not do lotion or any of the «manicure» features but for some reason got charged for something I never asked for or received. The top coats that they use are not OPI top coats. The top coat is in some green Polished bottle?!. It is evident that it is some cheap alternative to a nice top coat finish. My nails feel sticky, rough, and thin because of the awful top coat.
The MOST important part of my review is that this place is NOT sanitary. My normal nail salon in CLT (which was booked yesterday) always opens up a clean pack of nail utensils and tools for each client. Polished uses the same tools on every single person. Someone’s old cuticles were on the cuticle clipper he tried to use on me. That is so unsafe and how diseases are spread. I’m surprised my nails didn’t bleed from how hard he filled my skin instead of my nails. Avoid going here at all costs if you care about sanitation and quality

When you walk in, it looks clean, lots of white cushion pedicure chairs and lots of nail polish selection. There are no prices listed anywhere but a pedicure advertised at $ 25 and a gel fill in $ 35 online.
Sadly most of the colors you have to buy the bottle to use and most is them looked very old and were separating. They didn’t have any sample swatches of the colors so you just had to guess. I
The pedicure was finished in about 8 minutes and was hurried to the bar for my gel fill in.
Where the techs work it is very dirty and I never saw anyone cleaning. This is also where they serve you drinks and store your glasses… yuck.
The fill in was okay but she never took care of the underside of my nails. My middle finger is not shaped well. She also did not get close to the cuticle. She only allowed the final clear coat for 30 seconds and unplugged the machine when I went to put my fingers and I tried to tell her that you need to keep them in longer.
Worst part this cost me 45 $ for a gel fill in… what? When I asked her about 35 $ as advertised she pretended like she didn’t understand me all together and demanded $ 70.

So I’m still sitting here letting my nails dry and figured I’d do my review now. I set a goal for myself a few weeks ago and decided that when I achieved it, I’d treat myself to a mani and pedi. I mentioned this to my friend and she was telling me how she loves the South Blvd location of Polished. So I achieved my goal (go me!) and decided to treat myself at the business my friend recommended to me.
I made an appt the day before. Easy enough. I came in and was greeted right away and told to pick out my polish. I was somewhat underwhelmed by the selection of colors. A lot of them were just multiple bottles of the same color and there wasn’t too much variety. I was immediately seated in this throne type chair that was pretty cool. I didn’t wait at all but I can’t say if that was because I had an appt or because there wasn’t a wait at that time. Kristy was waiting for me at the throne chair and ready to start on the pedicure. She offered me a drink and I went with my favorite, a mimosa (which was huge and very good). The pedicure was pretty good. I had recently hurt one toe pretty bad and she was careful with it, which I appreciated. The massage was kinda brief but relaxing nonetheless.
Pleased with my pedicure, I moved to a different location for the manicure. The manicure is what keeps this place from getting 5 stars from me. I paid for my service before the manicure. I was disappointed that you can’t add your tip to your card so I opted for the ATM located in the store. My service was $ 40 and I tipped 15%. I don’t know if it was the fact that the place was becoming full of customers or that the employee wasn’t pleased with my tip but she immediately seemed rushed. To be fair, she did refill my mimosa (holla!) but there was pretty much no hand/​arm massage and she seemed in a hurry to paint my nails. That being said, the final product was good so I ain’t mad about it.
I’m a classic manicure girl. I mainly do my own nails at home but when I do get my nails done, I pretty much stick to basic polish (no gel) and maaaaaaaaaybe an accent color (livin la vida loca, y’all). Kristy told me that they don’t do designs here because «customers don’t really ask for them». Like I said, I’m okay with that because I don’t really do designs but if you want designs, this may not be the place for you.
I would definitely come back here but I would:
1. Bring my own cash (the ATM fee is minimal but still…)
2. Bring my own polish because their selection isn’t wonderful (in my opinion)

Honestly one of worst mani/​pedis I’ve had and definitely worst I’ve had in Charlotte. The entire place is dirty… like nobody has swept or wiped down anything in a long time. Pricing is higher than any place I’ve tried in Charlotte and I was told it’s because they have their own gel top coat…(which they didn’t even use for my manicure?) my nails look worse after than they did coming in… terrible shape no consistency. Wouldn’t recommend and definitely won’t be going back!

My friend referred me to this place because she said that they did a good job for her Medi/​pedi. My guy and I went to get manicures on Saturday. When we walked in the people were very nice. They offered us a drink and asked what we needed to get done today. I had gel on my nails that they needed to remove and my guy has dirty nails because he’s a mechanic. The two ladies that service us were nice but they seem to not get that certain things should be done for a manicure. My person that was serciving me put the acetone on my nails and wrap them for less than 2 minutes. Obviously you know this is not going to take gel polish off. So she starts filing them and the polish of course didn’t all come off. I had to continuously tell her tjat there was still polish on my nails and before you can put more polish on there it needs to be removed. I had to take the file and do it myself since she clearly didn’t get it. After I got my nails clear of gel. She started an arm massage. This was strange because normally people give a person a hand massage and it can go up to the arm. But I just got arm massage with lotion. aAfter she beat my arm up ahe begin polishing my nails again. The clear polish that she used was extremely thick and clumpy. My nails did not come out good. She didn’t put any type of oil on my cuticles she didn’t cut any of my hangnails. I’m very disappointed that I paid 20 bucks for someone that didn’t know what they were doing. And there was no polish dryer or hand dryer available to dry my nails properly. My guy smells looked horrible. He had all type of hangnails his cuticles were pushed back and there were still a lot of dirt in his nails. Even though they did a bad job he still tip them very well (which I still can’t understand.) Yesterday I noticed three of my nails had already chipped and today one more day. I have never had this horrible experience regarding a simple manicure. I think that since they give out free alcohol everything gets glazed over. I didn’t indulge so, I was well aware of what was going on.

My friends and I had our nails done here a couple of weeks ago and we were very disappointed. The service was so so, the place was messy and looked dirty. That night our bank notified us that someone tried to use our credit card from that salon. Beware!

Everytime I go to Owen’s for my saturday bagel routine, I keep trying to give this nail salon another chance because of it’s great location, and every time I leave disappointed.
After being enticed post bagel bliss, I arrived at 9:30 am with friends and asked for a gel manicure and a toe polish change. They wouldn’t seat me until the last one of the three arrived (Fine), so I picked my nail color and waited. My friend arrived 5 minutes later and we were all seated at the nail bar with mimosas (yay).
Three manicurists came to take care of each of us. When my manicurist got to me, I said hello and she wouldn’t even look at me. She grumbled the whole time that taking my appointment was affecting her «regulars» to the other manicurists. Honestly, we were all there and it was a bit humiliating. Here I am paying for my nails to be done, and this woman is rushing so she can get to her regulars. Maybe better management planning?
After noticing a few mistakes, I asked her to fix them, and she sighed and took care of them. When she was done, she confirmed that I wanted a toe nail polish. I agreed. She then asked if I wanted to pay all at once. I said sure. I paid for the manicure, which I thought was odd, and she walked away. The other girls were given massages (I was not), and I was waiting 15 minutes for my nails to be done. For some reason I looked the other way and realized my manicurist was now working on one of her «regulars». I calmly asked one of the other manicurists if someone was going to take care of my toes. She then proceeded to yell across the place «Rue? Ruth? you have to take care of your client!». My manicurist proceeded to yell back «I don’t want to. I want to talk to this one.»
This proceeded for a few minutes until I was so embarrassed I just asked for a refund for my toe polish. The girls were already drying from their toe polish post manicures, and I was just sitting at the nail bar dumbly. I talked to management and they just rolled their eyes and said they couldn’t control their employee.
Pros: Mimosas in the morning, the manicurists are fast
Cons: The manicurists rush you, and the paint job is sub par
I left feeling frustrated, humiliated, and feeling like I had wasted this nail tech’s time even though I had paid $ 35 for a gel manicure and her services. Location is great and they could have a good thing going for them, if they start acting professional.

I keep trying to give this nail salon another chance…
Pros: the ambiance is awesome, music is fun, and they always offer you a drink, which is great.
Cons: the manicures are rushed, overpriced, and the end result is sub par.
My last experience — I arrived at 6:30 pm (1 hr before closing) and asked if they had time for a pedicure and a gel manicure. I was told yes, and picked out a color. I had to wait for a little bit, but nothing crazy. When I sat down for my manicure, I asked to keep the length and for a square shape, My nails were filed down and into a round shape. Not the biggest deal, but again, a con. After she finished painting, there were noticeable unpainted spaces in between my nail and cuticle. I pointed it out, and she corrected it. After my manicure was finished, she told me I owed however much it was for a manicure. I asked if I could pay for my manicure and pedicure together and she responded with, «you wanted a pedicure too? We’re closed now.» Maybe it was the way she said it that rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe it was because I was initially told they had time for both and the switch up caught me off guard. Or maybe it was a combination of these in addition to leaving for vacation the next day with unpainted toes. :(
I expressed my frustration and said I wished someone would have told me they only had time to do one or the other and I would have gotten my toes done instead. She said she would talk to her manager to see if she could make time. After waiting about 10 minutes, I decided to opt out. As I was leaving, I heard her tell the manager I declined the pedicure because it was time for dinner. Not exactly. I declined the pedicure because I was told there wasn’t any time for it and I didn’t want to pay ‘x’ amount for an inadequate job from an annoyed technician ready to go home.
The upside is that my gel polish is still on after a week of wear, with minimal chips. However, that is to be expected. Not the worst experience but certainly not the best.

A $ 35 gel manicure chipped within 3 days — unacceptable. Most likely due to old product, as a majority of the bottles looked much more worn than I have seen in other salons.
The manicure itself was also very rushed — a 10 second massage on each hand/​forearm and cuticle clippings were done so quickly that I bled twice. And no, I do not have sensitive cuticles, nor have I ever bled during a manicure.
Will not be returning.

I’ve been to many nail salons and this one is by far the dirtiest! First off I got a pedicure and the water was freezing. I also think they dilute their nail polish because even the OPI brand comes out light and streaky. (I’ve been here multiple times so I don’t think it was one bad polish). All of the pedicure chairs are warn and have dirt and dust all over them. I don’t think they clean their nail tools either! They need to do a deep cleaning of the salon everything just feels like it’s never been cleaned since opening. To top off my experience I found a huge bug on the floor! They really need to step up their cleanliness in here — I’m surprised a business is allowed to operate in these conditions. Lastly I know a lot of the Asian owned salons have this problem but I feel like all of the workers here are at a social hour. They’re just chatting it up in Chinese with each other the whole time. I was just hoping for a more quiet and relaxing time when I get my nails done. This was definitely not relaxing.

We called ahead to make sure they were still open — called around 645, and they said they stopped taking people at 730. Plenty of time, right? Wrong.
Basically. We were treated poorly because we came in too late for their liking, someone told me they didn’t have time because they had to catch the bus, and the quality just wasn’t there. While we were waiting to be done, we looked at the floor next to the pedi chairs and BUGS everywhere. It was disgusting. Little cockroach babies crawling around!
It was super expensive for the quality and service we received. Definitely not coming back to this location…

I’m still trying to understand how this place has 3 stars. It is so chic and adorable. Upon walking in, the manager Sonny immediately offered us a drink and was so so kind. They were SLAM packed and Sonny kept checking up on us to make sure our experience was great.
My nail tech worked quick but did everything with precision. My nails look amazing! When the nail tech arrives, they give you a straw since you can’t really pick your glass up. Small things like this make their customer service above and beyond. Did I mention they play AWESOME music? This is not your average nail salon.
I’m from out of town, but if I am ever back and need a manicure, this place is #1 in my list!

I’ve been to the Polished Nail Bar on providence but this was my first time at the South Blvd location. First off it was a bit run down. I was not at all impressed with the upkeep (now I’m being completely picky, but jus saying w/​a name like Polished you can’t cut corners). The staff was friendly and upon entry my services and drink order was taken and after I made my color selection I was seated. The lady who did my pedicure also did my nails. She did an amazing job on my feet… but my gel manicure, not so much… I’ll include pictures and you can judge. I mean she had me fooled b/​c she was so meticulous that I thought it was going to look amazing… But I was wrong. I tipped anyways b/​c she did take her time and made small chat which was nice. So the big question, will I go back, YES. Overall the salon was clean, the staff was friendly, they had TV’s and music, and there was no wait.

Came in for a quick pedicure. Which is what I got, may have been about 30 minutes. Scrub, message and polish. It was $ 25.
Apparently they have free beer and wine but didn’t realize at first. That’s cool, I’ll be back for that!

I visited Polished with my son’s girlfriend on the day of their prom. Service was very friendly. Drinks were a nice touch. Plenty of colors to choose from and the establishment was clean. Very good experience and prices were comparable to other local nail salons.
Unfortunately, I can only give 4 stars instead of 5 because they don’t have any nail dryers. We were left to sit for a long period of time for our nails to dry. They use quick dry polish, but (IMO) it really isn’t that quick and it doesn’t seem to set as nicely as when it’s light cured or machine dried.
