Nue’ Brows to Brazilians + Beaute Bar

Chris did my Brazilian wax. She was very sweet! We talked it up the whole time, I couldn’t shut up, I felt like I was catching up with my long lost girlfriend. She made me feel very relaxed, as it’s been awhile since I’ve gone and got my Brazilian wax (I usually do it myself). The session flew by really fast and she recommended some products to use upon my return. I already booked my follow-​up appointment. :)

Loved the service provided by Laysha, she was amazing and made me feel completely comfortable!
I will definitely be back! Great selection of products too!

This was my first Brazilian ever! I felt so clean, so free and Martina was so good. The place is super antiseptically clean! Rooms have a relaxing vibe — I think I told everybody that would listen how great of an experience I had. I did surprisingly well for a «newbie».

After hearing that a esthetician I used to see at another location has moved here, and it was within walking distance to my house, I had to check it out.
I called Saturday morning around 9:15 am and was happy to hear they had availability that afternoon.
I arrived shortly before my appointment and received no welcome, a young women who told me to sign in, nothing else. I sat down and browsed at the location, very modern and they do sell a lot of products, candles, etc.
My esthetician walked her last client out and greeted me and said to give her a few minutes. I have not seen her in a while so I explained how I wanted my eyebrows waxed, yes, I like them a certain way. She remembered. And, before I knew it she was done. What? I didn’t feel anything and was very confused. After looking in the mirror she did a good job, not great, but good.
However, after I got home my face broke out tremendously, almost with a rash in the area where she waxed. It is now Tuesday, three days later, and I am finally looking ok, but not 100%.
So, after reading a review today I see they use a cold wax, which I wasn’t explained. I have a feeling this cold wax isn’t for me. Yes, after hot wax I get a little redness, but NEVER have I experienced what I did at Nue. Unfortunately I will not be back.
However, for those this works, it is a great location, more the 5 estheticians so appointments are available, if you call in time, and prices are comparable to other locations around.

Good experience my very first time. Bad experience the second time around! Rude front desk told me my appt time was different than what THEY text me. Then proceeded to call me and leave a VM saying I missed my appt… when I was sitting right there. I asked her about it and she wasn’t very nice and brushed it off. They eventually took me back late so I didn’t have time for a tint and wax and was told I’d have to come back in a week. I called to complain and they got me in the next day for a wax with the owner who wasn’t the warmest person. She wasn’t even aware of why I was back again. She did a good job, and did my wax for free, but seriously needs to be more personable. She owns a business. Get into the loop about what’s going on. Won’t return.

Based on my two visits to Nue, for two entirely different services, I’m definitely a fan. I was there over a year ago to get my nails done, and I remember it being a great experience. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere clean and bright. It is definitely much smaller than your conventional nail salons, and not the place you go with a group of girlfriends to get your nails done (It looked like there was a single nail tech). More recently though I was there for a waxing service. I was hesitant to try a new aesthetician but since my usual (at a different spa) was traveling for a few weeks, I decided to give Nue a try. I was really impressed. So much so that this may became my new usual. With prices comparable to other similar spas, and a convenient location, I look forward to my next visit there!

As promised, any time I receive good service, I’ll tell you guys about it.
Even though I’m doing absolutely nothing to warrant this sort of torture (read: I ain’t getting any), I randomly decided that it was beyond time to trim the forest. I’m a super slow grower and after months of working to get just enough to be yanked out, I stopped in Nue for their waxing service.
My tech was named Dana and she was super sweet. She talked just enough to keep my mind off my follicles being ripped to sh*t but not so much that it was overbearing. She used a blue hard wax on me and my girl is as smooth as a baby’s bottom (with the appropriate landing strip).
If you’re in the Charlotte area and need grooming, I definitely recommend Nue! Ask for Dana! :)

I got their full bikini wax (Brazilian without one component) and the girl was very good! She paid attention to the direction of hair growth and did the wax quickly. Great wax!

This place is the best. They are always so nice and on time. Olivia is awesome at brows. I swear I feel like the give me the Beyoncé treatment everytime I come here.

I hesitantly started waxing with Dana, then Hannah — turns out nearly all of the techs here are great — fast, good wax product, good technique. This place is a god send because they have great hours and rarely if ever are running late. Before you know it, you will be doing the 3D eyebrows with Olivia!
The gem of Nue though is Joyce, the nail tech. Fantastic job, clean, thorough, she literally knows what colors you need based on the look on your face when you walk in that day.

Professional, quick, and relatively painless (all things considered). I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Everything about this place is amazing.
Olivia, the owner, is awesome. So sweet and accommodating. Remembers all of her «regulars», even the ones who don’t do treatments with her.
Dana does my facials and waxing. She. Is. Amazing. She keeps my brazilians quick, easy, and as pain-​free as possible. Also rarely will ever miss a spot.
Dana’s facials always completely even out my skin and I always leave feeling SO good and refreshed.
The salon is always clean and the girls will chat with you about any of the products you see in there.
For my birthday, I received a gift card to Rē Salon and Spa on South Blvd, and made the mistake of going there for a facial. (Hey, to me, it was a free facial). I would rather spend 10 000 times as much on a facial from Dana, than ever stepping foot in Rē again. Huge mistake to go to Rē, on my part.
Also, Nuè hosted a botox party there, where I got 8 units of botox for half of what I usually spend on it. They did a great job. Nuè also had lots of treats there, from drinks, to cupcakes, cake pops, etc.
Can’t say enough good things about Nuè. I am so glad I found this place when I moved to Charlotte, or I honestly probably would still be flying home once every month for a brazilian and brow wax… and have no clue what I would be doing for facials!

After I almost gave up on Waxing…
I scheduled a last minute appointment today. I was nervous, as usual.. Hence, an angel saved me!!! I met Takoyia. She’s an esthetician that made me a believer again! She talked with me the entire time to keep my mind off the pain and even educated me on things I had no clue about… It was an experience that I would like to thank her for… Great job for hiring her Nue Brow!!! She’s a keeper and I’ll see her again in 4 weeks!

I’ve been to Nue twice the first time I had a mani/​pedi done which was perfect. Today I had my eyebrows waxed and a manicure which I am very happy about. The time and attention to detail taken during the visits are hard to come by these days. I’m very pleased!

I came here for a brazillian wax and having had quite a few in the past from different salons, this experience wasn’t one that I’d like to repeat. The most disappointing part are the results. The waxer either missed many areas that are very noticeable or this is simply the poor results of the no-​strip wax. I don’t expect the results will last very long at all. Furthermore, this hurt. This hurt a lot. This hurt more than any other time I’ve previously been waxed.
Would it have been worth $ 30 in total including tip… perhaps? Was it worth $ 60…not even close.

Joyce does the best gel nails ever! Also, if you want an extremely thorough pedicure; Joyce is all you need.

I was extremely nervous since I had been waxing my own eyebrows for the past 6 years and am pretty picky. My tech was very nice and did a great job! I’ll definitely be going back.

Overall: Go here.
Due to timing I couldn’t go to my usual waxer at home, so it was great to find someone comparably priced during my trip!
Not sure of her name but the receptionist is not very personable… But she got the job done. Took my call once they opened and scheduled me to come in later that day.
On the other hand, Hannah (sp?) the waxer is friendly, professional and fast. I thoroughly enjoyed (well, as much as you can enjoy) the experience.
The salon itself has a chic, modern feel and what I saw (the reception and nail area, the wax room and the bathroom) were all very clean and functional.
Prices were great and they are clear about what costs what.
I would recommend this establishment.

My usual super fun, super nice waxer moved away from Charlotte, so I decided to try out Nue after seeing a coupon online. Like the other businesses in the 1315 building, parking can be a little tricky, but at 4:00 p.m. on a Wednesday, there were a ton of spaces in the parking deck attached.
Upon entering, I have to agree with the other reviewers that it was very modern and sleek and white and clean. I wasn’t sure I was cool enough to be there! The very nice male receptionist greeted me as I walked in the door. The owner/​waxer, Olivia, came out and introduced herself not long after, and then took me back to the waxing room, which was very bright and white and sterile. Half of me appreciated that and half of me felt like I was in a lab, not a spa. Olivia was very nice and tried to make conversation, but I just felt like it was… forced?
She explained that the wax she uses is cold wax (whereas I’ve done hot wax for 15 years). Allegedly the cold wax is supposed to adhere to the hair and not the skin making it less painful, but this was the loooongest waxing experience of my life. Yowza. I had my usual redness for a day or two after, but now less than two weeks later, the hair is already growing back and the skin is almost more irritated. Apparently cold wax (or waxers) is not for me.
