Nestlerode Orthopedic Rehabilitation is a Physiotherapy practice that manages the needs of patients in the Elizabeth City area. Ours services commonly treat: neck/​back pain, sport injuries, pre-​/​post– surgical, joint/​muscle pain, headaches, chronic pain, post-​offer employment screens, age-​related balance deficits, neurological deficits, stage IV/​V cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, wellness programs, and much more. Our treatments are one on one and only provided by doctorate level Physiotherapists. «If you move it, then we treat it.»

History

Established in 2011.

Nestlerode Orthopedic Rehabilitation (NOR) opened for business in the spring of 2011 in response to the growing need for compassionate health care. We use evidence-​based treatment techniques to decrease the recovery time, thus allowing the patient to return to their lifestyle in a shorter period of time. We are proud to be serving the residents of Elizabeth City and surrounding area.

Business Owner

Travis P. Nestlerode, DPT — Rehabilitation Director

and President of Nestlerode Orthopedic

Rehabilitation, began his career in Physiotherapy as

a PT technician at a well-​established outpatient

practice back in 1995. Dr. «Travis» Nestlerode has

been practicing for the last 7 years in multiple areas

including outpatient orthopedics, critical care, and

geriatric care. His emphasis has been to implement

manual orthopedics across the various treatment

populations in order to resolve functional mobility

deficits in less time. Dr. Travis attended Western

Carolina University for his undergraduate degree in

Biology, and his Masters’ in Physiotherapy. He then

attended MGH Institute for his Doctorate in

Physiotherapy for additional training in differential

diagnosis, and imaging for the rehab patient. Dr.

Travis had clinical internships at Charlotte Institute

of Rehabilitation (CIR) for neuro-​rehab, Presbyterian

hospital for manual orthopedics, and Blowing Rock

hospital.
