We provide private music lessons, small group instruction, and large ensemble music experiences to the youth of Charlotte, NC. We are proud to offer the best quality music lessons in piano, voice, violin, guitar and drums. We serve students from Charlotte, Matthews, Gastonia, Concord, Lake Norman, and most of the surrounding metro area in Charlotte. Our staff is composed of highly trained musicians and educators who care about your child’s success and are eager to help you develop your musical skills. We believe that music is an important building block to life skills such as: self discipline, self esteem, team work, cultural understanding, citizenship, and communication. Best of all, music is fun.

History

Established in 2007.

From humble beginnings in early 2007, with a vision to establish a quality music study environment equipped with talented and ambitious music students Nyshia Cook opened Piano Passion. Once opening the studio it began to grow at a fast and steady pace that Nyshia felt the need to expand and offer additional instruments such as voice, violin, guitar, and drums.

NC Music Center is committed to instilling motivation, dedication, and self-​expression in students through focused musical study. Our initial structure of each music lesson is designed using the traditional methods of study. We believe that embarking on a musical adventure creates avenues of cognitive development and personal triumph. We are dedicated to jumpstarting important qualities that lead to the greatest satisfaction and pleasure in a student’s future. Studying music sets the foundation for success in all facets of life.

Nyshia C.

Business Owner

Nyshia C. is the owner and director of NC Music Center, Charlotte’s premier music school that offers top notch music instruction for a variety of instruments at all levels from Beginner to Professional. She is an energetic competition and recital Instructor and an accomplished pianist and singer herself. She has participated in many musical theater projects, Operas, and Church Choirs. She maintains professional memberships to Piano Teachers Guild, Charlotte Piano Teacher Forum, National Federation of Music and NATS. Nyshia cultivated her skills and training by studying as a part of the music program at UNCC. She continues training by taking courses and workshops at some of the most prestigious schools throughout the country Berklee Music School, North Carolina School of the Arts, and Private Instruction from nationally known master Instructors in addition, assisting students with audition and competition preparation in pageants, studio recording sessions and talent shows.
