Our passion is to help our clients achieve their dreams by focusing on long term strategic planning. We work with a network of advisors (including other CPAs) that put our client’s best interest at center stage.

We seek to serve taxpayers that own business/​investment properties, have investment income or earn high income. We view ourselves as partners to our clients, our employees and our community. We look to aid in the maximization and protection of our client’s resources.

Every engagement is led by Matthew D. Andersen, CPA (the founding equity member). We commit to a relationship beyond an annual tax return preparation.

History

Established in 2011.

MD Andersen CPA, PA was founded by Matt Andersen. After years under the umbrella of other firms, the core group that would go on to become MD Andersen CPA PA had been formed. With the desire to serve, the will to succeed and, now, all the necessary personnel pieces in place the firm was launched in south Charlotte’s Ballantyne area.

The high regard in which the firm is held has been driven by competence, diligence and a client centered business focus. This has propelled us to continual growth since the inception of the firm. Due to this growth, we have recently relocated to our new Carmel Road offices. Our expanded office and conference room space will allow us to fulfill our goal to continually improve our level of service. We look forward to meeting you.

Business Owner

Matt Andersen has been interested in running a successful business since his first job as a teenager in a bicycle shop. That interest would lead him to University of North Carolina at Charlotte to pursue degrees in Accounting, Finance, and Operations Management.

Upon becoming a Certified Public Accountant, Matt began his career as a CPA with several local firms. His desire to build a business predicated on the level of service and expertise he could provide resulted in the formation of MD Andersen CPA, PA.

The dramatic growth of the firm necessitated the recent relocation to much expanded office space. This growth has validated Matt’s belief that the core values of the firm are what the people of Charlotte and Lake Norman truly desire in an accounting firm.
