Celebrating our 10^th school year…2015−16!

Mathnasium is a highly specialized math enrichment center. Students in Grade 1 to Algebra I work for an hour each session on homework and mastering the fundamentals for their grade level/​course. Private tutoring is offered for all high school math courses. Our expectation is to significantly increase your child’s math skills, understanding of math concepts, and overall school performance. We provide a positive, empowering environment where your child will build their confidence and forge a renewed outlook toward mathematics. We are also the only learning center that offers homework help and EOG test prep during the school year without a long term contract.

History

Established in 2006.

Krista Adams opened Mathnasium South Charlotte in September of 2006 after a 12 year classroom teaching career. She is still very active and visible in the daily operations of the center. Krista understands the unique challenges facing today’s teachers and students in the area of math instruction. She looks forward to providing an individualized program to each student that is thought-​based, promotes problem solving/​critical thinking and produces results.

2015−16…We’re celebrating our 10^th school year!

Krista graduated from East Carolina University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She has twenty-​four years of experience working with children in the classroom as well as private tutoring. In 2001, she earned National Board Certification, which measures a teacher’s practice against high and rigorous standards through an extensive series of performance-​based assessments. In 2006, she decided to open Mathnasium to meet the individual needs of students in the area of mathematics. Since 2006, the center has proudly worked with over 1,500 students in Southern Mecklenburg County and Union County.
