LA East

I don’t know what the other reviewer was talking about (owner??) but I was in the store for 15 mins and the employee never acknowledged my presence. Unacceptable in my book. Won’t be back.

I am still in shock! Bought leggings for $ 58 the week before Christmas. They ended up being too large. I went in January to return them for a store credit. I knew it would be a store credit because I specifically asked the exchange policy when I purchased them. I didn’t have my receipt so the girl told me that I would get $ 10 for them. She then told me they would accept my bank statement as proof of purchase. I told her that I would pull it up online. Went outside since I didn’t have good cell service inside the store. I left the leggings on the counter. While I was pulling up my information 5 minutes later, the sales clerk came outside to ask me when I bought them. I told her in December. She then informed me that they wouldn’t accept them since it had been longer than 2 weeks. What?! It was Christmas time. How can you not accept a purchase back in January that I made in December? I could hear someone else in the store. Clearly, someone had heard what was going on and told the clerk not to accept the leggings. Likely, I would have spent more in the store than the return cost of the leggings. I will never return. Clearly, someone has no business knowledge and doesn’t understand the meaning of customer service. If a business is willing to treat a customer this way then they clearly need the money pretty badly. I walked out with the leggings and intend to tell everyone I know about this experience. Poor business knowledge for sure!

Live in the area and I will never go in this store again. The women that work there are very rude. I could have spent a ton of money in there since they have some really spectacular items. But the attitude I got and what the other customers received. I walked right out. What a shame!

I have been in this store twice. I gave it a second chance after the first was less than delightful! After the second try, I will not return. I try to support local businesses but the girls (women) in there are the snottiest I have run into in a long time!!! They had their noses so stuck up in the air that it seemed like a real burden for them to help me or even be friendly. To me, they won’t get any business that way!
Being that way certainly does not help your business– you never know how much money someone has to spend!
They do have fun and different jewelry– that’s the only reason I gave it 1 star!

I’ve been frequenting L.A. East for about a year now. I buy something about every third visit. I love the clothing styles. They carry Sky which is one of my favorite brands. The jewelry is beautiful. The prices are jacked up but that’s just how boutiques operate. You can get good deals at the end of seasons.

Had the pleasure of visiting this shop this past Saturday and I will say that I’d love to come back at some point!
The store is located in the Blakeny shopping area. It was REALLY congested that day as there was some kid event that caused major parking problems. I got a headache trying to find parking and trying to not cause majore traffic jams with the other impatient people trying to park.
The store carries really trendy items… and at a mid-​level price range. The cool thing about L.A. East is that the items that they stock are few… that way people aren’t walking around with the same thing. I like that. Items are trendy, edgy, and some a bit pricey. Lots of jewelry to choose from at a really great prices.
Wait. *does a double take* Is that beer on tap? Yes, my fellow shoppers, L.A. East hands out beer while you shop. For free. All store should follow suit. I don’t care if it’s cheap beer or cheap wine… That made me want to stay and it increased my shopping experience to great heights. It’s nice to be appreciated and to feel welcomed into a place where you are potentially going to drop a lot of cash.

Fabulous trends, amazing jewelry! This place is awesome. It has unique items, dresses, tops, jeans, etc. Some of the things can be a little pricey but they have incredible sales as well. And, the jewelry is affordable. I just scored an awesome necklace this past weekend that was on sale from $ 38 to $ 5.00! Woo hooo! I wore it on Sunday and got compliments ALL day long. What a steal!
The atmosphere is fun and friendly… not stuffy or pretentious as some boutiques can be. I love the style in this shop. It is in a great location in Blakeney! Check them out!

Started as a successful internet only business, they opened their first physical location in 2007 in Fort Mill, SC. Their 2^nd location is in the Blakeney area of Charlotte. LOCALLY OWNED AND OPERATED L.A. East specializes in men & women’s casual L.A. Fashion with a rock & roll edge!!! Great demin selection and new inventory regularly… all at a reasonable price! They also have a keg on tap just for fun. So go have a cold beer and check this place out! It’s a great addition to South Charlotte!

Completely agree with the above review. The woman behind the counter was put out that she had to put her phone call on hold to answer a question for me. Oh and I had waited over five minutes while she was very obviously on a personal call. Clothes look like crap, service is horrible. I would not recommend this store to anyone.
