Helms Driving School

Helms Driving Instructor is a wonderful driving instructor. For anybody that would like to discover the limitations of «any vehicle» in «any scenario», the Helms Driving Instructor programs will show you what you should discover. An particularly honest «Thanks» for trainer Whitney. The trainer was relaxed and extremely useful and that he educated me how you can push and the way to manage an automobile where I could make use of the abilities discovered for any vehicle on the highway. The teachings I discovered from trainer had been very useful throughout the street check, and helped me feel totally comfortable I am going to successfully pass the street check. So, I passed my road test for the first time and I am so glad I chose your program.

There’s got to be an alternative. They double booked a time for a lesson and didn’t have the courtesy to let us know. If someone knows another service, please post.

I wrote a positive recommendation on Helms Driving School and Unilocal has decided not to use it. I realize most comments were negative on this business but my daughter and myself had a very good experience with the instructor, Whitney, and the owner, Margaret. I feel that both points of view should be considered when deciding to use this business.

My daughter took the six hours behind the wheel class with Whitney in order to receive credit to take her learners permit test. Whitney was absolutely awesome! My daughter had no experience driving and is shy. Whitney was patient, kind and funny. She helped my daughter gain confidence, and she actually learned how to drive on the highway and in heavy traffic My daughter looked forward to her lessons. Margaret and I set up her three –2 hour lessons in advance and Whitney did a great job sticking to the schedule.

Helms driving school is horrible i reffered my boyfriend to this «company» the worst thing i could have done! i spoke to the owner margaret helms who seems very nice over the phone. feeling confident in the company i then gave the number to my boyfriend they took his money for $ 120.00 for a driving lesson and for the use of the car to take his driving test, they then told him while in line that they had another appointment and that they would not allow him to take the test because they needed to get another student

It’s a shame the instructor, Leon, doesn’t have his own business. I enjoyed his patient instruction and looked forward to working with him again, but trying to book lessons through the unprofessional owner Margaret was a nightmare. I purchased a 6 hour package and every lesson I tried to book (3 times!) was canceled or rescheduled right before the lesson. When I asked for the company to commit to the schedule they had given me, Margaret became very aggressive and told me that they would not be able to stop changing the lesson time because of «traffic», and that she would «cancel» the rest of my lessons and send me a refund (which I did not ask for — I was only trying to keep the lesson time I had been promised.) She not only changed the lesson times, but the instructor as well! Anyone who takes driving lessons knows how important it is to continue to practice in the same car, with the same instructor.
When I told her this, she HUNG UP ON ME! I have NEVER been hung up on by a «professional» — which obviously this company, and woman, are not. I have been promised a refund and if I don’t receive it, I will write another review and report this business to the BBB.
