Doc Porter’s vodka is made from North Carolina wheat that is milled on-​site at the distillery. This gives you a regional taste, unique to Doc Porter’s. Our vodka is carefully fermented and patiently distilled, then continuously filtered through activated carbon. Only the hearts of the spirit are included and cut with reverse osmosis– filtered Carolina water. The result is a smooth, one of a kind taste we know you’ll enjoy.

History

Established in 2014.

Doc Porter’s was founded in 2014 by Andrew and Liz Porter, a husband and wife who are passionate about craft spirits and wanted to bring something great to the drink local movement in Charlotte, NC. The distillery is named for Andrew’s grandfather, Dr. Richard Porter.

Business Owner

Andrew is a co-​owner of Doc Porter’s and the head distiller. He grew up home brewing with his father and after earning a degree in Chemical Engineering from Clemson, decided it was time to turn a hobby he loved into something more. He takes his love of the science behind booze and mixes it with the old school distilling practices to make a product that’s Cleverly Crafted and filled with heart.

Andrew guides the majority of the tours on Fridays and Saturdays, so book a tour and come learn about grain-​to-​glass spirits from the man behind Doc Porter’s spirits!
