Specialties
Whether it’s lighter fare or comfort food you’re seeking, we’ve got it. Enjoy a delicious ham and gruyère crêpe accompanied by mixed greens – or dive into a hearty dish of steak and fries. Come for an pesto brie appetizer and pint of your favorite European brew before a show, or enjoy a nightcap with a carafe of wine and a dessert crêpe. We bring different people together – and our philosophy on food is much the same. Here, at Crêpe Cellar, traditional European street fare fuzes with hearty, homemade touches and extraordinary tastes. Come join us, and come as you are.
History
Established in 2009.
Crêpe Cellar Kitchen & Pub started in 2009, as the aftermath of the owner’s backpacking trip through Europe…
With our beginnings smack in the middle of the recession, we started with just 11 tables, in the eclectic and changing neighborhood of NoDa (where we still are grateful to call home). We’ve now added 8 additional tables, and proudly have one of the best serving and kitchen staffs in Charlotte (thanks guys!). Our menu continues to reflect a traditional European gastropub — with savory and sweet crepes, an award-winning burger, our highly-touted pesto brie fries, and daily seafood specials.
Meet the Business Owner
Jeff T.
Business Owner
Jeff Tonidandel is a graduate of Davidson College (right here in Charlotte — and yeah, think Steph Curry), and MBA grad from Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, OH (where he grew up!). Jeff was originally inspired to open Crêpe Cellar after he and his wife stuck all their ‘stuff’ in storage — leaving corporate jobs behind — and traveled around Europe with just 2 back packs and a roller bag. Always a foodie, Jeff dreamed up the idea of Crêpe Cellar while traveling — a concept which came to life about a year after the couple returned to Charlotte.
