I have lived at Bexley for three years and I love it here. Wonderful location, great amenities, and A+ employees. Justin and Jade were helpful during our transfer. They always responded in a timely manner and it was much appreciated. Maintenance always responds quickly! Yay for Bexley!!!

Hmmmm. I’m not sure what to say about my experience at the Bexley. I moved to Charlotte hoping to live a little closer to uptown, but I worked in South Carolina, so the Arboretum area was a good middle ground. Location of the Bexley is probably it’s best feature. About 20 minutes from uptown($ 30+tip for a taxi), close enough to 485, and walking distance(if you dare cross Hwy 51 on foot) to everything in the Arboretum shopping center and Food Lion. There are also some nice neighborhoods nearby for jogging and such. «Luxury» is not exactly how I’d describe my apartment. Maybe this is obvious, but the model apartment that I saw was not as similar to the actual apartment as I imagined. The longer I lived there, the longer I noticed that a lot of things are done halfway. For example, our apartment was newly painted when we moved in, but there was a previous tenant’s dog’s hair painted into the baseboards — like a lot of it. Our front door was painted, but whoever did it dripped black paint on the tile floor in the entry and just left it. Things like this extend to a lot of the maintenance/upkeep of the grounds. I would not live anywhere but the top floor. My dog was 51 pounds(two too many to live anywhere but the bottom floor). I wasn’t concerned about this other than the fact that my 51 pound dog sleeps in the corner 20 hours a day. Meanwhile, I lived under a family with two kids around 7 – 10 years old. The consistent running and jumping off the couches/bed shook the pictures on my walls. I repeat, I would not live anywhere but the top floor. It’s worth the extra stairs. There were other things(good and bad), but these are the main points after reflecting on my time here. As far as a recommendation: The Bexley isn’t a terrible place; I never felt unsafe and the one time I needed maintenance, the response was immediate. With that said, after two years here, I was ready to move to another apartment in Charlotte.
