I have seen Dr Mark Tadrissi several times since my intial Unilocal review in 2013. I continue to give Dr Tadrissi five starts. You will not be dissapointed with his compassionate and patient chair-​side service. The last rootcanal therapy I had with him was with a problematic root. There was a tiny peice of the nerve that would not cooperate. Dr Tadrissi patiently numbed me several times, each time, waiting a few minutes for the anethestic to kick in for my comfort as a patient. I can’t imagine having to perform root canal therapy on people, working in such a tiny area inside our tooth and knowing you could really cause pain if you mess up. Would you believe I have to go back in week for a third rootcanal on another tooth! I am completely confident in Dr Tadrissi’s abilities. I don’t go in with any fear because I know I am in good hands. If the angry root in my tooth does not want to cooperate, I know Dr Tadrissi is going to patiently go through the process and keep me in comfort. I refer to him with my friends as my Greek Godess Doctor, LOL. I agree the payment part with the office can get overwhelming with multiple reviews of finanical obligations. However, we can thank people who do not pay their medical/​dental bills for this. Most specialist are having to take this approach because the patient receives excellent care but does not pay their bill in the end. There are two sides so it is important to look at the Dr’s office perspective. I did have to cancel an appointment and the office was very compassionate and understanding with the reason of my cancellation and I was not charged.

I am terrified of having any dental work and unfortunately have not had positive experiences in the past. I was prepared for another painful root canal. From the first injection to the end of the treatment, I felt NO pain at all. Dr. Tadrissi is a kind, skilled and gifted provider of dental care. I am thankful to Dr. Haller for recommending him.

I was referred here by my very good Dentist for a consult. Before setting the appointment they confirmed I had dental coverage and the amounts it would pay. They then confirmed the appointment. Ok, that is routine these days.
Upon arrival, I was given their payment policy requiring PAYMENT IN FULL IN ADVANCE, Or leave a credit card on file. yes even with insurance.
I was ok paying for this in advance but then the real reason for wanting a credit card on file became clear. They next asked me to sign, still before before my first consult, if I was ever late for an appointment, I would be fined $ 50, and if I missed an appointment, without 2 business day notice, they would charge me (my card on file) $ 150.00. So i’ve never missed a Dentist appt, but have almost missed several. One thing is for sure, I never get notice of business emergencies.
So, they made themselves exceedingly clear. Were their guarantee’s they would be timely? None. Were there guarantees of their work? Not if you read their Disclosure and Conset forms… But,. Will ALWAYS GET THEIR MONEY? Yes.

My dentist referred me to Dr. Chopra for a root canal. Dr. Chopra was pleasant. The root canal procedure went well. My issue was with the office payment procedures. Prior to the root canal I was told what my payment would be after the insurance payment. I paid this amount (with my bank debit card) and was asked to sign a consent to treatment form. Everything was fine until about sixty days later when the bank notified me I had insufficient funds for a check I had written. After talking with them I discovered that Dr. Chopra’s office had debited end me an additional $ 165 the previous day — thus depleting my bank balance by that amount. When I called Dr. Chopra’s office they explained that the charge was because the insurance company did not pay as much as expected for the procedure I was responsible for the balance. Why hadn’t they informed me that they were going to debit my account? The office told me that the consent to treatment form included a clause that allowed them to charge my credit card for any additional amounts. They made no distinction between a debit and credit card. My bank removed the insufficient funds fee, but I still had the embarrassment of having a returned check simply because of the payment procedures of this dentist.

Was sent to Ballantyne Endodontics after my own dentist could not complete a root canal procedure due to complicated root structures. I had already gone through two procedures on this tooth and was not looking forward to another. Worse, I have a distinct aversion to dentists due to a wisdom tooth extraction at another facility 10 years ago that went very bad. I was apprehensive about this procedure, especially after the two previous attempts at my dentist were unsuccessful.
I am extremely happy I was referred here.
Dr. Sonia Chopra was extremely professional, empathetic to my previous experiences, and went out of her way to ensure my comfort and well being. Having had the complications I mention above, numbing that area of my mouth is not easy and can be painful. She took her time, and worked to keep the pain to a minimum. The procedure itself went smoothly and was very well handled. X-​rays after showed the tooth well-​drilled and sealed. The pain following the work is very minor and I’m pleased with my experience.
The office staff was pleasant and efficient. Dr. Chopra’s assistant during the work was very professional and pleasant as well.
I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Chopra and Ballantyne Endodontics to anyone who needs this work done.

They have lost a patient. I was referred to this endodontist for a root canal. Consultation should have been quick. … But wasn’t. My initial appointment was at 11:30. Sat in the waiting area for about 15 minutes and was then escorted to the exam area. Got ex rays done and then waited another 30 min for the Doctor. She was pleasant enough. Tested my teeth for cold sensitivity and explained the procedure that would be done. This took all of 5 min. I was irritated that I had wasted so much time on a 10 min appt., but I let that go. Fast forward to appt. day… my son got sick at school and I had to pick him up before my appointment time. Needless to say I had to call and cancel my appointment. Explained to the receptionist that I could not find a babysitter on such short notice… all is well right? Wrong! Next Day I see a charge on my card for $ 150. Did I authorize this charge? NO I DID NOT! When I call about this charge, I am told that it is up to the doctor, and this is what she wanted. Never in my life!!! «Some patients prefer to leave their card on file in the case that insurance does not cover the estimated amount» or some similar jargon. Below that, is a line to write down your credit card information… a line which I did not fill out. So how did they charge my card you ask… They captured my card information, which according to my lawyer is ILLEGAL. Whatever… so I tell her to put it on another card which she agrees to do… While reading out my info we get disconnected, calls back, disconnected, call back no answer. I don’t have time for this, so I go about my day. Later I get a vm that their phones weren’t working and I have to call them back by 2pm. Already after 2 pm.
Oh and why did I call my lawyer you ask… because It gets my goat that doctors can waste our time and have us sitting in their waiting rooms, but an emergency comes up and it’s all about the bucks for them. Now this dentist would have made way more than $ 150 off of my procedure, not to mention other people I would have referred, but now that’s out the window and someone else will be getting the money that she would have gotten only if she had been more understanding. It’s all about the principle.
