Balanced Health plus® was founded by an anesthesiologist and a psychologist who discovered that, while medicine and psychology seemed to have common goals, they often appeared to work at cross purposes.

Dr. Hunt served as president of anesthesiology consultants of charlotte and led this group to form southeast anesthesiology consultants.

Dr. Hunt recently completed an in-​house hospital study looking at the use and success of using aromatherapy for dealing with post-​operative nausea which was published. Hunt is a founding member and the CEO of Balanced Health plus.
