Advanced Disposal Service

I’ve reached out to Advanced Disposal each time that my supervisors have told me to price shop our business waste services. I do as I’m told; I gather information and present it to the «good ‘ol boy» decision makers.
This last time, they again decided to stay with our current waste disposal company and so I had to again tell my contact at Advanced Disposal that we weren’t going to go with them. It’s never a fun email to send to a sales person, but again, it’s my job so I do it.
This time the Advanced Disposal sales woman (I’m being kind and not saying her name directly) had the nerve to email me with nothing but a subject line that said «Same Story Different Year!»
I was infuriated by her inappropriate response. This is how business is done, nameless, faceless decision makers have assistants start the process and get the sales people all whipped up only to decide it’s just easier to stay with who we’ve already got.
For a «professional» sales person to respond in that manner really surprised me, I mean… you’re in sales… you win some you lose some. But sending a snarky, written response like she did only serves to push away any possible hope of gaining our business the next time we’re shopping for waste services. It also fuels reviews like this one in my efforts to alert the public of how I was treated by Advanced Disposal Services during an initial quoting process.

I’m sad that I even have to give one star to this worthless company. I have never seen such a blatant example of incompetence in my life.
We moved to Huntersville in late October and since then have had to call every single week (14 times and counting) for them to come pick our trash up because they missed it on our designated pickup day. I’ve verified multiple times that pickup day is on Friday and put the trash out at 6am Friday morning before I head to work. Every Friday when I get home from work, my trash is still sitting there full as can be. We haven’t even bothered with recycling, who knows when they’d decide to actually pick that up.
I’ve called, written, and even got the city government involved and it’s still the same thing every week. «We apologize for the inconvenience, someone comes and picks it up on Saturday, and I have to call again the next week. How incompetent can you be?!?
