For the third stop on the New South BBQ Tour, we visited a strip mall to see the new Taste of Caribbean restaurant. Unlike the first two stops, I hadn’t eaten in this establishment. At least, not directly. I hadn’t eaten in the one before it(a Steak Out) either. I did, however, eat in the one before that(Chelsea’s Italian). It was in the same location — just not the same cuisine. Whatever the case, this location provided us food to go, in the form of some Jerk Chicken Wings, rice and a «Caribbean» drink. Much like the earlier drinks, you really have to know what you like here, as they aren’t your standard US-style soft drinks(typically much sweeter). I found the chicken wings to be a different style than standard jerk chicken — it wasn’t really as spicy as I’ve typically eaten. All-in-all, not bad. Just wish there was more of it! I can’t say much about the place, as we were only there long enough to get our food and get out.
