A & R Towing

This company was contacted by my Allstate roadside assistance at 7:10 pm. ETA was about 9:20. After that time came and went, we called insurance to let them know we had not received any service. They contacted the company again and we were told it would be another 30 minutes. That came and went, and we went through this cycle a few times. We finally called the company themselves. Every review that says they’re incredibly rude is 100% correct; we were hung up on. Over 3 hours later, we decided to call our insurance and cancel the service. Absolutely absurd to hang up on your customers. I’m not sure why Allstate uses this tow service.

This company was contacted by my roadside assistance. They lied about arrival times for five hours in 10 to 15 minute estimates. I waited from 7pm to midnight. I finally called a local tow that took 20 mins and I paid out of pocket.

Extremely poor service. Was continually lied to about arrival time to keep me waiting instead of going with so eine more reasonable. Was told 20 minutes and cancelled the order after 2.5 hours. Very rude and short on the phone even though I was trying to be understanding and just get some answers. Extremely poor service. Would give less than 1 star if I could.

Based on my recent experience… GO ELSEWHERE!!! These people gave me a receipt and then upped the charge on my credit card with no notice. «Abby» told me it was a service charge and when I insisted I had not been informed and my receipt showed the correct charge, she hung up on me. I called back to tell her I was refusing the charge and would write them a check for the correct amount and she hung up on me again. Zero customer service. The above is what actually happened. My opinion is that they should be avoided at all costs. I won’t go into the issues with the driver taking an hour and a half to go 2 miles to get to us while we sat on the side of an interstate with cars flying past or hauling my car in the wrong direction for some reason… Just avoid them!

This company is on Allstates preferred list but I cannot understand why and will be calling Allstate to share my experiences. A few months ago I had to have a vehicle towed– they said they would be there in 30 min and would call me when 15 min away. 2 hours later still no call. The receptionist/​dispatcher was SO rude, unapologetic and nasty. They said they would be there in 15 min– still no one came and no one called! This is the WORST service I have experienced in a long time. They never came that evening and I had to have the car towed the next day instead.
I had to have a vehicle towed again yesterday– they said it would be 30 min and would call when near. Based on my first experience I waited an hour and then went to the place to meet them. Almost an hour and a half from my call and they said they would be there in 30 minutes, were SO rude again, and the driver said he had only just gotten the call!!! They have wasted hours of my time. I will NEVER use them again and will be calling Allstate immediately. Warning– DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They do not appreciate their customers.

Used this company through allstate motor club, they finally showed up over 3 hours after first eta and 4 calls back to allstate. The excuse was «traffic «. There is no where in Charlotte that is 3 hours of traffic away. Then driver complained about where I wanted my car towed and complained about the traffic there and what he would have to drive back in. After dropping my car had the nerve to ask for a tip. I would never use this company again and might even cancel allstate of they continue to use this company. Worst experience ever. Have 1 star because 0 isn’t an option

I called this company to get a tow at 9:17 AM. The dispatcher took my information regarding my vehicle, a current location, and where I wanted the vehicle towed. I was informed that the tow truck would arrive in about an hour. I went to walk my dog and saw the tow truck coming down my street but it was for another service call. When I spoke to the driver he informed me that this would be a short call and he would check the log to see if he could come back and get my car. At 10:40 AM, I called to check on the status of the tow. The dispatcher informed me that he could not find my paperwork. I wasted 2 hours waiting for this company to provide the service that they are in business to do. I decided to go with another company to tow my vehicle to the garage.

I used their services during the month of August. I was pleased with my tows. However, the dispatcher Emily did not listen, was rude and at times condescending. It will not be my first choice.
