Established in 2002.

Willy Jay’s opened in February 2002 in beautiful, historic downtown Charleston, South Carolina. Our mission has always been to offer our shoppers a friendly, lighthearted, fun atmosphere in a customer-​oriented environment. We don’t believe in taking ourselves so seriously that we would ever forget that our customers are the most valued aspect of the company. Our mission is to make you happy– after all, without you we wouldn’t be here. Shopping should and can be fun and affordable! We strive to have something for everyone. Very cute clothing, that is also extremely flattering. Offer styles for almost every body type. I had to return a dress over the summer (bought it for work, found out it wasn’t work appropriate). All returned items rack up a store credit. When I went back in about 6 weeks ago to use that credit on a new purchase, the young lady behind the register could not find my name in the system. The manager came over, and asked when I had bought the dress that I had returned. I didn’t remember exactly — it would have been anytime between June-​August. Well, the manager went through EVERY receipt from those three months until she found mine, and called me only hours after to let me know. It turns out there was a simple typo accident at the end of my name that was the root of the confusion. But anyways, EXCELLENT customer service. I was very impressed!

Fantastic service, great boutique. I was visiting from California and bought a dress here for my daughter. Got home and it was too small, called the store and they reserved me the medium dress. I sent mine back and they sent me (no charge) the right size with a personal note, and even included some lovely earrings for my daughter to wear at her upcoming Homecoming Dance… thank you Ellen you rock!

I’m in love with this shop! It is full of adorable dresses, skirts, tops and accessories! And their prices are great! I came here on a Friday, and though they were packed, the staff was on top of their game so I got in and out pretty quickly. A great find for my «must-​go» list for Charleston!

This is a very cute store with lots of reasonably priced sun dresses (nothing over 100), tops, and semi-​formal dresses. I would say this is a «younger» store and may not appeal to somebody over 35 but certainly teenager to late 20’s. The staff was very nice and helpful. This is my favorite clothing store so far in Charleston.
