I love this store! They are so friendly, and go above and beyond to help you with your selection. They have competitive prices, and I’ve found that more often than not, Total Wine has lower prices than other places. If you buy a case of wine, they’ll take 15% off the entire purchase. Great for holiday gifts. They’re always doing tastings in the store, and you can get lost pursuing the aisles. Don’t forget to join their club to earn points!

They have Firefly Apple Pie Moonshine so I don’t have to drive out to East Guam to refill.
‘Nuff said.

I definitely give these guys props — the selection is second to none from what I have experienced. They often have great deals and sales on seasonal products. I like that they carry more than just wine and beer and they have a great little growler section. My only real complaint is that when I’ve asked the staff for help locating an item (ginger beer, a certain brand of Bloody Mix, etc) they have no idea where I can find it. Still, the variety and prices keep me coming back. Getting in and out the parking lot can be a nightmare depending on where you are going since its at a busy intersection; but you figure out the short cuts quickly!

Really pleased with this Total Wine location. I’ve been to others across the country and none of the employees come close to being as polite, attentive and helpful as the employees at this location.
There are several liquor stores closer to me but the selection and service here make it worth the drive :)

Wow, what a great place to go if having a large gathering. We went straight to the front desk and asked for help on a party my wife is organizing that wine is the theme. Well, actually travel is the theme but 4 regions of wine are going to be offered up to the guests. France and Italy, South America, West Coast US, and New Zealand and Australia covering most of the best in the world. James was assigned to us for the next hour or so where he took care of all of our needs. We told him our budget and he worked hard to make us happy. What a knowledgeable guy. We were in his hands and what capable hands he had. He always listened to what we said and came up with suggestions and knew lots about all the wine he sold us. That seemed like the best $ 200 that I have ever spent on wine in my life and pretty sure that we will have some very happy people that will be drinking it Thursday night. He even printed out tasting sheets for every single bottle. We came in under budget and only went over on one that we could tell was important to stick to our region theme. Heck, most were under budget. And to really top it off a customer handed us a coupon on our way to the register for $ 15 off a $ 100 order. This was just a fantastic experience and we will be back. Not for a while because we also bought a few for ourselves! ;-)

The prices are very reasonable which gives you a chance to try new things without feeling guilty about how much money you’re spending.
VERY friendly and knowledgable staff. Sometimes you can feel clueless in a place like this, so it is so nice to be able to talk to anyone on staff and get some help.
This is in a good location and has a sizable parking lot.

The liquor side offers a wide selection of mini bottles so you can try something new without the fear of wasting it.
Cons:
If you are on the liquor side, you might be be a little disappointed depending on what you’re looking for. There is PLENTY to choose from, but there have been a few times I’ve gone in looking for a particular kind of liquor and have been unable to find it.

The only thing that could make this place better is if they had hammocks so you could take a nap between shopping!
We went in to find the right FIXINS for an upcoming party and the advisor on the spirits side listened to us and helped us find the right stuff. Boom! Once he figured out that we were going to a themed fall party he gave us a great nugget about how to present this drink that we had chosen. I can’t give details yet, because its a secret and the party people follow me, so hush!

Total Wine & More… or as we like to call it at my house, «Adult Disneyland». The selection here is amazing, the staff is knowledgeable and helpful, and the store is clean and organized. Every time we go there, we find something new to try. They have great wine selections at every price point. I love the staff recommendation cards for the wines and the always changing seasonal beer selections. It’s also great that they have so many beers and ciders available to buy singly – beer is not the beverage of choice at our house so this is a great way to try some new ones.
We make the trek from Mount Pleasant to West Ashley fairly regularly to stock up at Total Wine and it is worth the trip. Grab a cart and get shopping!

Great selection beer wine and liquor. Good prices compared to NC.
It is a shame that if you want beer, liquor, and wine, you must go to two ‘shops’ with separate registers. I suspect this is some quaint SC law like the one which at one time allowed the only signage to be a red dot.
But still far better than NC, where the state ABC dictates what can be sold. In NC you can get ZERO Amagnac Brandy. This store had several brands.

Pinch me, I must be dreaming … so much wine, so many choices … and many, many bottles priced under $ 12.00.
We’re having some neighbors in for apps and drinks, tomorrow, and I know one of the wives likes a particular red from Washington State, Red Diamond, but has had difficulty finding the Cab in this area. (It seems that several merchants in Mount Pleasant sell the Merlot, but no one carries the Cab.) On s hunch, I called Total Wine and More and voila … they carried it … had a supply in stock … and carried everything else I wanted including a good selection of Sable and Rosenfeld Tipsy Olives. Perfect!
So, after my Monday volunteer stint at the Main Library, I headed out to Ashley River Road and within minutes, I arrived and parked on the big, spacious lot. I was quickly directed towards the back wall. Before reaching my destination, Chris approached me to help expedite my wine and olive shopping.
I wish I had more time to browse the aisles … but, I’ll definitely be back … and seek out Chris. He was knowledgeable, friendly and steered me towards some really smart purchases. I’m so glad I trekked out to West Ashley.

Great selection of wine and spirits. They stock local distillers and and wine. Parking is always an issue. They are in a plaza so they must share the lot with 10 or more other businesses. I suggest that you try to get in early so you get a decent parking space. Oh and they have really good and informative wine, beer, liquor tastings.

Really it’s hard to find anything wrong with this place it’s a cool big store with lots of inventory and the prices are fair and the staff is pretty helpful and friendly and they also have a nice liquor store next door as well so I don’t really know what else could be better it’s pretty much a great place when you’re buying booze

Total Wine is the best! I’m not a big wine or beer person, but I found myself in the market for a bottle of wine. Total Wine was a godsend. They have an incredible variety to choose from, which can be overwhelming for people like me who don’t know where to begin. Luckily, their staff is eager to help you find the perfect bottle. They also post staff recommendations along the shelves. Everything is well laid out and pretty easy to browse. They also offer tastings and little classes, so be sure to check that schedule out. And if beer and wine isn’t your thing, they also sell liquor next door.
And just in case great service, selection, and prices isn’t enough for you, check out their website. You can browse their selection and prices, and place an order to be picked up or shipped. This is seriously the best adult beverage store I’ve ever seen.

I had an amazing 5 star experience shopping here! We started on the spirits side and were blown away by the selection of liquor, liquors, and mixers. They were doing an irish cream liquor tasting when we walked in. That was fantastic, we totally bought the product. The selection of mixed shots and pre made drinks was great and everything was very well organized. They seemed to have incredibly fine scotches and liquors for incredibly reasonable prices. The employee favorites were marked by some products I would have never thought to try but I decided to trust their instincts and bought a few recommended items. This place also had the Viniq liquor that we were looking for.
As for the wine and beer side, I was equally impressed. The wines are organized by type and by region. They also do wine tastings here. There are select wines and champagnes in the refrigerated section but the store also has a wine chiller. The selection of reds, whites, and champagnes is impressive. I also browsed their local brews and craft brew selection and was very happy. Dogfish head and palmetto espresso beers are my go to. There is also a selection of fine champagnes and wines as well. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Overall we had a great experience. If you are going to charleston or are in the charleston area and are looking for alcohol, I highly recommend this place.

Great selection of beer and wine. Friendly staff that is super helpful. By far the largest selection of single beer bottles I’ve seen in Charleston.
Prices are not the cheapest on everything, but the convenience of having all your beer, liquor, and wine in one place is great.
They have a small cigar shop inside, which is great for picking when shopping for a guys night out.

Having what I feel amounts to a good amount of wine knowledge and an open mind, I entered the undisputed wine mecca of Charleston.
Typically a consumer mainly of wine, I don’t enjoy it as much in the middle of the summer, all the heat and humidity of the low country makes me want a few beers when out around town. Great selection on lambics, heffenweissen, and other eastern European beer producing powerhouses.
The wine selection is superb for both whites and reds, I’ve bought a lot of champagne as well. Now that’s a summertime adult beverage I can get easily used to. Reds range from some impressive French AOC château’s, emerging market wines from South America down to the box o wine’s. Some of which are quite good.
All of the staffers are super knowledge, friendly and drop what they are doing to provide immediate customer assistance.
I also enjoy the concept of placing a recommendation card next to a bottle that said employee has selected as their top pick.

Ah, Total Wine. My payday mecca. You’ll see me stopping in here about once every two weeks to lay down some cash for good beer. The prices are about average for what they offer. The wine selection is impressive, but honestly never why I visit. The beer selection is vast although some of the really rare and obscure beers won’t be found here. That being said, their limited and seasonal release section is always pretty impressive. I make a beeline for that area the second I walk through the door.
Total Wine now has a pretty kickass growler station as well. They have a wide array of local and not so local goodies always on tap. Just be sure the person filling you up knows what they’re doing. Even their fancy vacuum like sealing filler can’t save someone who doesn’t know what the hell they’re doing. I once was subjected to a very poor fill that went flat faster than a tire with a nail in it. I also one heard the growler station guys discussing how PBR is actually a pretty good beer, but I digress.
There are always beer and wine classes going on that teach you about pairings and different types of each drink respectively. Total Wine is almost like a commercial version of the Charleston Beer Exchange. I said ALMOST. I enjoy my trips to CBX more, but Total Wine is fairly well-​rounded and reasonable. I leave happy. That’s for sure.

What a great place! We went out of our way to find it but wow, am I glad we did! We «needed» some beer, wine, and champagne because somehow the bottles we brought with us leaked (wink) or ended up empty somehow! Hate when that happens! Instead of going to a local mom and pop place we ventured into the burbs to this Mecca of fine wine. Oh yeah!
First off, we have nothing like this in Pennsylvania so any semblance of selection and good prices has me smiling. And when I wheeled the cart up the first aisle, I was smiling big time. Superb wine selection. And who knew you could buy great prosecco for under $ 10 a bottle? What what??? We scored some great wines, some beer, and a few varieties of the aforementioned prosecco.
Service was helpful. Checkout was great when they offered me $ 10 off plus $ 1a six pack discount in exchange for my email address! Heck, I’ve given it out for far less!
Count me in as a fan! Might hit it one more time before I leave town to fill up my trunk! It’s that leak thing you see…

Wine, beer & champagne in a well laid out store the size of a grocery store… YES PLEASE!!! Let me start by saying I live in Pennsylvania where the state controls everything liquor related. It’s the most archaic, overpriced, underwhelming system imaginable. Clearly when I find a store like Total Wine, I get really excited. Who could blame me, seriously?
There are terrific deals on everything throughout the store and we got enough wine, beer & champagne to get us through the remainder of our beach vacation in style without breaking the bank! I love that they had employee photos above selected items that said they were their personal picks. There’s even a growler section so you can take home craft beers from the taps.
And the girl at the checkout asked if we wanted to sign up in the spot for email deals and there would be immediate extra discounts on everything we were buying!
Oh yeah, we really like this place!!!
