Taziki’s has always been one of my favorite places to eat, but this week they really impressed me. I won a gift certificate that I thought was for Taziki’s but it turned out to be for their catering company instead. It was a big mix up and I was disappointed that I had paid money for something I now wasn’t sure I could use… sorry, I didn’t have any big parties planned. Matt, the manager, and Patrick got it sorted out in no time and were able to convert it to a giftcard that I could use at the restaurant! They were so friendly and helpful and clearly care about the customers and their experience. To top it all off I had a mouth-watering tomato, feta, and chicken sandwich that I would go back for any day, and Marra at the counter was so sweet and friendly. All in all, Taziki’s remains at the top of my list of favorite little places on King Street. Thank you!

Food was fresh and came out within 10 minutes. The staff was very nice and helpful. I also loved sitting at the window seating and people watching.

Honestly, I had fairly low expectations for this place because I’m not a huge fan of gyros… not the best reasoning, I totally know that, I’m just saying, that’s the honest truth. I picture lambs and it’s all down hill from there. Anyway, it’s Second Sunday on King and we wanted to grab some food somewhere we hadn’t been yet. Ideally, we wanted somewhere a little bit faster than your normal restaurant. When we came in a guy greeted us and asked if we had been there before. Of course, we hadn’t, so he proceeded to tell us how it works. You grab a menu(and maybe a seat if it’s really busy) and when you’re ready, go up to the counter, place your order and get a number. Pretty easy. The food came out really fast and I might add that all of the people we had encounters with that worked there seemed really happy and helpful. I wonder if they were part owners or something… they seemed invested beyond your average server at a faster food place. I got the Mediterranean Salad with Chicken. It was really good. A decent amount of greens, kalamata olives, tomatos, feta cheese, 3 decent sized strips of grilled chicken and… the part I usually don’t like is the balsamic, but this was a good(little bit sweeter) balsamic. The hubs got the lamb gyro. He said it was good. I did try the side of cucumber and tomato salad and that was a solid side dish in my opinion, a kick of vinegar but not too much. We also shared the taziki dip. When my hubs chose this appetizer I was a little disappointed, I’ve tried store ones before and I never really love them. I probably would have picked one of the other options, but… when we actually got it, it was really good. It tasted really fresh, very dill-y, and the pita’s were soft. I would order it again. I would go here again, especially if I wanted something a bit more on the healthy side and fast.

Not real impressed. The food was not very tasty. My wife is Greek and we eat a lot of authentic Greek food… this was not what we are use to

We came to this place for lunch. Great service and the staff was friendly and helpful. There’s plenty of sit down seats with counter ordering service and then they’ll bring the food to you. We tried the gyro and chicken salad both really good. They offer a variety of healthy sides look tomato cumber salad, which I would highly recommend. We also tried their house wine which was a nice complement with our meal!

First time; popped in for lunch. I had the grilled chicken gyro and my daughter had a turkey club on ciabatta. Both were excellent. Service was great. Nice location. Great price for eat in or take out lunch on King Street. In the words of the great theologian, Arnold Schwarzenegger, I’ll be back.

Walking downtown Charleston on Sunday with my family of 6, we stopped in just ahead of the lunch rush. Two youngest got Grilled Cheese and Turkey melt, respectively. Both meals eaten. My two older got Chicken Gyro’s. Both said it was AMAZING. My wife downed the Steak platter and loved it, they also added chicken upon her request. I had the lamb Gyro. Heavy flavor on one end, light on the other but good. Friendly staff, well trained and attentive. Worth stopping in.

Sorry to say that it wasn’t better… but that it to be expected for the Arby’s equivalent of greek food. The lamb gyro was decent, but no one is rushing here to grab a quick fix-seems like it is just seizing and opportunity to be different in a town known for seafood and fancier southern american fare.

This is the best Greek food I have had since I was in Greece. If you are in Charleston, stop by and get a grilled lamb gyro! It is phenomenal! The tomato and cucumber salad is off the chain! Refreshing and light! I spent a summer in Greece and as soon as they brought the food out, the aroma took me back there! I came in late, I can imagine getting this for lunch!

I ordered the hummus platter that comes with vegetables instead of pita bread. It was terrible. The carrots were actually peelings from the outside of the carrot(no actual carrot sticks). The celery was water logged and thin strips(not even full slices of fresh celery). The tomatoes were mealy as well as the squash strips. Overall quite gross and disappointing. I will NEVER return for food here.

Stopped in for Satuday lunch. Busy, but the wait wasn’t too bad. You order at the counter and a waiter brings you the food. We ordered the beef and lamb gyros. They weren’t the typical ones. No olives and no Tzatiki(s;p?) sauce that i could taste, even though the place is named that. The meat are in chunks instead of sliced. Served with chips and cucumber, tomato salad. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and if there weren’t so many other places we want to try, we would go back.

Went here for lunch. We had Gyros. The food was OK through service was a bit slow. Too many other choices in the neighborhood to go back.

I love mediterranean food so I was excited to try this place. We ordered catering for an event at work and it was delicious. We got the chicken feast with greek salad. The rice tasted great. The chicken was moist and delicious from the greek dressing marinade and the greek salad and greek dressing were amazing. Not to mention the Taziki sauce that you could literally eat on anything if you want to. Great helpful staff, very friendly and informative.

My husband and I stopped by for a small lunch and it certainly was perfect for that. We ordered a Greek chicken salad and we were a little disappointed, although the ingredients were really fresh. The chicken was a little chewy and dry and they forgot the peppercini and olives. It was so busy and we were unable to get the attention of any of the staff that we left it alone. I ordered a «bowl» of soup(I put bowl in quotes because it’s more like a cup) but I really enjoyed it. The chicken was tender and juicy and it wasn’t salty, which is something I’ve really come to appreciate about soup when I eat out.

I start off whining here, but the story has an upswing at the end. The first thing that stood out as I walked in was a lack of food smell. It smelled like an old relative’s house. I was hoping to be enveloped by wafts of savory meats or fresh herbs. Immediately my expectations started dropping. «No falafel», I was told. «We don’t have a fryer», seemed all too convenient with the slightest wisp of pretense. Falafel is so good — I’m sure there are other ways of preparing it! No Falafel?! Bah! Humbug! I got a gyro and a side of roasted potatoes, chips and some warm pita with hummus. The chips were chips. The roasted potatoes were really flavorful, hot and hearty. The gyro was great too. This meal started looking up. The pita was lightly brushed with oil and the hummus was a nice balance of tahini and spices. This place dug itself out of a deep hole and I left satisfied, mostly just happy that the food did the talking and it wasn’t a flop.

I always have a wonderful experience when I come here. Everyone is always very welcoming and friendly. The service is fast and efficient too. Today I tried the chicken salad bc I was craving it! «Chicken Salad and Company» prepares chicken salad, on top of salad and two sides for only 8.99! So prepare to be full. I got a side of fruit and pimento cheese. Everything tasted delicious. It tasted like they put taziki sauce in their chicken salad, yum! They keep the place clean and always come to your table to see how you’re doing. It’s a great place for a group of four people! Great place to go by yourself too.

My friend and I stopped here to take a quick shopping break and I’m so glad we did. The food was so delicious and very reasonably priced! The staff was very friendly and the food was delivered to our table very quickly. Which was good because I was getting a little hangry. We both ordered the grilled chicken gyro with the cucumber tomato salad with feta cheese on top. The crowd was full of students, shoppers and people on lunch breaks. The gyro was so delicious. Their tzatziki was amazing. And the best part was they put plenty on the gyro. The pita the gyro was on was perfect. I think my favorite part of the meal was the tomatoes and cucumbers with feta. It was the perfect side. They also added a few wavy potato chips to the plate. I will definitely be back here to try something new. The salads looked awesome, they seem very refreshing for a hot summer day. The sandwiches sounded very interesting as well.

Whooooa doggy! I do love Greek food and Taziki’s brings it! I was actually afraid we were way underdressed after hitting the bridge one Saturday but was shocked at how super casual it was, with a delightful interior. Think a Greek, not crappy Panera. You order at the counter, get yo’self a glass of wine, wait for the deliciousness to arrive! I don’t love that the human race are slobs and leave their tables absolute messes — the first time, the staff cleaned them fast, the second time, quite a few were left dirty for a while, that’s why they’re losing a star. Either way, a new favorite place for a solid, healthy lunch.

If I’m in town, Taziki’s is my go-to place for a quick, cheap and tasty meal. It is easy take-out food, but it is a also a comfortable place to eat(and they serve beer and wine). My favorite dish here is the grilled chicken breast Tazikis feast. The chicken is always really juicy and it comes with a great greek salad and potatoes. Some other favorites include the greek salad gyro and chargrilled lamb feast.

Roasted Greek potatoes are killer. I could eat a bucket… The gyro is really good too. Pita bread has a lightly crisp exterior, and it is not the typical shaved bits of lamb mystery meat on a spike but rather tender chunks of delicious lamb flesh… The way I eat a gyro: peel off strips of the wrapper… between bites, turn it upside down(careful not to dump out any goodies) so that the taziki sauce is distributed evenly — otherwise you get a soggy finish.
