A fun store! Like JellyBelly jelly beans? This is your source! Like Gummi Bears(Trolli or Haribo?) Then make the trip. Remember that candy you ate when you were a kid? It’s probably here. Zots! and lots more.

5 pound Gummy Bears! Do I need to say more. They have a wide variety of gummy items for $ 2.99 a ¼ or ½ pound. If you come here please use gloves to get your gummy food unlike a lady slowly pilfering candy with her bare hands and then left immediately when confronted by staff. Stupid customers ruining things for the rest of us. This place brought back candy nostalgia for my wife and I.

My brother and I were really pumped up about Robot Candy but the candy there is terrible. We both left with big bags of old, tasteless gummies. Even our Cheerwine tasted bad. I really liked the store and the employees were super nice. Hopefully they will update their candy supplies and not let them expire though. That would make this store awesome.

I can’t recall the last time I was even in a candy store. If I have picked up penny candy(that’s what we always called loose candy back in the day, cause it was actually a penny) recently, I recall it being pretty pricey. This place being on king, I figured it would be some touristy rip off spot of overpriced candy to lure in the vacationing kiddos. To my surprise, Robot Candy Co is none of those things. Prices were great. They had tons of selections, including some of the oldie favorites. It was like going back in time with all the old school candy. I love that they have gummy bears separated by color too… White gummy bears are the best! They also have tons of clever gifts and toys. Unique ones that you don’t seem to find elsewhere. I can’t wait to bring my niece and nephews here. They will love it.

They sell both robots(think vintage toy versions) and bulk candy(including vintage sweets.) How can you go wrong?

Cute store with giant blow-up dinosaurs in the window and a cool modern design. They have a ton of gummy candy and jellybeans in bins. And old-fashioned candy and some strange interesting gifty things. My daughter loves it. We were there last week and the girl who was working there was so cute and friendly. It was a nice experience.

Cute, very old-school candies. Old-school as in reminds me of my childhood(90s) but then I realized that I no longer eat candy as voraciously as I once did. @_@ So I browsed and ultimately left, because I can’t justify eating all that. However, I’d definitely recommend it if you’re missing some of that — pez, gummy rings, chocolate-covered things, and candy-themed pillows.

With candy stores there are 2 types: the old school shop, and then the shop run by cool young kids. This definitely falls into the second grouping, with its modern décor and interesting selection of candy, it is the Dylan’s Candy Bar of the south. They have a large selection of bulk candy, which is decently priced. They also have old school candy for those who want a nostalgic experience. Another cool thing is that they also sell King of Pops, which are probably the best Popsicles that you will ever have. So go to Robot grab some bulk candy, get a pop and cruise down King Street.

Wow I love this place! It was nice to see a independent business among the corporate chains on this street. I found out about it on a tourist map and couldn’t resist because of the name. Unique items– a mushroom touch lamp, individual gummie bear flavors, gummie bear on a stick, giant gumballs, robots!, etc.

Asian Pocky sticks and a 5 pound gummy bear all at the same store? Puffy stickers and zippy pencil cases? GENIUS! I love the clean, modern interior and the chipper store employees. They’re always chatty and help with your candy selections. Great mix of old favorites like pop rocks, and new more modern candies. You’ll pay slightly more than at the convenience store, but the presentation is spot on. Great for gifts… can’t miss it!

CANDYPARADISE! You can’t help but walk inside this store, even if you don’t like candy! :D It BECKONS you to come inside. Décor — FANTASTIC! Candy selection is vast, not to mention, ROBOTS! YES, YOUCANBUYROBOTSTHERE! The young fella that was working when I visited was very friendly & helpful. This is a must visit in Charleston!

A little on the cheezy side. The are reproductions of nostalgia items and far east imports in candy and toys. The prices are well above what they should be given the selection and quality of the products. The theme is good in theory but I think the prices and selection leave a lot to offer. Not to mention the staff are as robotic as the toys.
