Great location. Excellent hospitality. Complimentary breakfast, tea, etc. Will definitely be back here when I am in the area. Room was nice and clean. Generous supplies.

At $ 600/​night for our «view» room, we expected more… Like a view. All we could see was giant trees and a busy noisy fountain that was filled with yelling kids most of the day. The kids yelling wasn’t too bad if you love children. But the loud elevator vibrating and sounds were enough to keep us up most of the night. So loud that you could even hear it while taking a shower.
The bed was ok, not luxury, barely comfortable enough to sleep.
The service was very good. Not excellent but very good.
They offer breakfast in your room and even though the menu says select one option, they cooperated with 2 selections. Nothing fancy or special.
They offer wine and cheese in the evening but you’ll need to go down to the first floor and carry up to rooftop where the guitarist was playing, then wait for elevator to go back down to get refills. Odd! Nothing offered upstairs.
Many other hotels in this price range offer an espresso machine (like nespresso) in the room. This hotel didn’t even have a water kettle or coffee maker. There were coffee and hot water in the atrium but the water was room temperature, can’t make an evening tea with that.
To be fair, they did have a fridge with 2 tiny water bottles and they left a thin chocolate on the pillow at turn down.

Stayed here for 4 nights in November 2015 and enjoyed our stay. Fantastic location near the river front. On warm days the water fountain across the street attracts a large crowd of kids playing in the spray. The beds are very comfortable and loved the warm moist cookies they put out each evening.
Head up to the roof deck for a nice view and you can have your breakfast delivered to you there.

I went to Charleston on a weekend girl’s trip and we stayed at Harborview Inn. This hotel is in a great location, the staff is superb and ultra-​friendly, the perks are the icing on the cake.
The size of the rooms (and bathrooms) were phenomenal. The futniture, fixtures, and hardware were a breath of fresh air because it added to the charm of the city… felt like someone put thought into the senses of and with the customer in mind. There was enough counter space which was surprising.
My room was near the atrium, unlimited coffee, tea, hot chocolate (with marshmallows). They also served wine and cheese on a daily basis. The main lobby felt like home. Great view, wood burning fireplace, and an open business area. We arranged a travelzoo deal which included a daily breakfast. Delivery and variety did not disappoint.
The location was great. Next to shops, snacks, restuarants, bars… all walking distance!
I’d definitely stay here again… and again.

Location cannot be beaten. Right in the midst of the French Quarter with all that is Charlestown at your feet. An assortment of continental style breakfasts are include with your accommodations as well as Happy Hour wines and cheeses. The service at these «included» amenities are lack luster. The woman pouring the wine at Happy Hour was pouring as she was looking down at her phone and either texting or reading texts. The room service server was in such a hurry to drop the breakfast tray and run that she missed out on the cash tip we were going to give her. Rooms comfortable and the beds snuggly. We would return to the Inn on our next visit.

I had a work emergency arise and had to cancel my reservation 48 hours in advance of my scheduled arrival. The immediate response was to bill me immediately for (1) night, which I find utterly ridiculous. Life happens, emergencies happen, and most certainly work emergencies happen. They should be flexible and instead they choose not.
Oh well, regardless of its great location I will continue to visit Charleston and using other properties.

5 stars for us! We were spoiled with having a room close to the front desk so we were just steps from the wine & cheese in the evening, the cookies & milk at night, and the cozy fireplace with the pretty view of the harbor. Not to mention our balcony view of the harbor! Very cute! Would definitely recommend this little gem on the harbor :-)

My girlfriend and I were heading to Charleston from Savannah right after all the flooding from hurricane Joaquin, we were debating on if we would make the drive because of all the road closures.
We arrived downtown without a place to stay, so we drove around looking for nice parts of town, since neither of us had even been to Charleston. We were down by the water and came across the harborview inn. The hotel was classy looking and appeared to be super expensive, we were sure it was out of our budget. After googling some amazing reviews we figured we would call, just for the heck of it. We spoke to a very nice gentleman named MIKE. We asked if they had a room available, and they said they did. The price was less then expected, but still out of our price range. After explaining to him our situation and price range he put us on hold and came back with a rate we felt we couldn’t refuse. Wow are we glad we did.
After entering the lobby we knew we made a good call. We introduced ourselves to MIKE and gave him all our info for check-​in. MIKE said that our room wouldn’t be ready for awhile, but maybe he could find a room that was ready. Well he upgraded is to this amazing room that blew is away. Can’t say enough about Mike and Jack. Jack is the bellhop and valet. Thanks guys for making our stay amazing !!

For being a local, I don’t get the opportunity to stay in hotels often, but when downtown flooded and I had a work obligation for the weekend, I found refuge in this lovely little hotel. Small enough to feel boutique, but large enough for some killer amenities. You can’t beat the late check out, breakfast, complimentary wifi and great view! I’m well traveled and have stayed in some of the best hotels in larger cities, and this room is up with the top! The bed may be the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in a hotel, and that shower– heavenly. I’ll be recommending this to anyone I know staying in the area, it’s well worth the price!

Great bed, breakfast and wine and cheese hour. Super location with views of harbor and great access to restaurants and historic district. First class staff with spacious room and amenities. Would recommend and return. Valet parking on premise.

Really excellent stay. Great breakfasts and amazing service. One night we did not get turn down service, but that was literally my only complaint! They could change up the afternoon snacks a bit (jelly beans, etc). The chocolate got melty in the hot weather when we would walk out with it. Would absolutely stay here again the next time I’m in town. I felt like it compared to a nice ritz carlton.

Great location. The rooms were large and very high ceilings. Great atmosphere. The breakfast service to the room was a nice treat. Only wish they had a Resturant for hot food for breakfast. The wine and cheese hour was well attended. Unfortunately there was not a lot of seating so a number of people were sitting on floor. You could take it back to room but we wanted to visit with friends. The cookies and milk at night were a nice treat. Would definitely stay here if when we come back!!!

Really enjoyed this place! The rooms are a nice size and the beds are SUPER comfy. The lobbies are beautiful as well and serve complimentary coffee and tea. The location is PRIME as you are walking distance from many great restaurants, shops, White Point Gardens, etc. It doesn’t get much better. Also, you can get breakfast delivered to your room, the atrium, or the rooftop in the morning at the hour you choose. The breakfast foods are from a local bakery called Saffron, and they are quite tasty! Also, the staff is very nice and accommodating.

Great hotel with outstanding service! Delicious complimentary breakfast each morning. Very convenient to several excellent restaurants and good shopping. The nightlife in this part of town is also a lot of fun! Spent my 50^th birthday here and had a wonderful time!

Stayed here for 6 days in February. Booked the romance package, which came with Valet parking, private carriage tour of Charleston, champagne in the room, breakfast in bed daily, red roses upon arrival, and a $ 100 gift certificate for the High Cotton restaurant. The location of this hotel is convenient, right by numerous restaurant and bars and close to the King street shopping area. It’s in a beautiful neighborhood with plenty to do and plenty historic buildings. The service was good, but they forgot the champagne. The hotel does not have a working kitchen for hot food, so room service is not an option and the breakfast in bed meant continental cold foods only, but they did offer tea and coffee. But it never bothered us, as Charleston offers a wide array of good quality restaurants nearby

Beautiful and clean hotel that makes you feel right at home. The harbor is a stone throw away but quiet enough to make you think your on your own island. The added bonus of breakfast served to you, wine and cheese in the afternoon and cookies with milk for dinner is just the icing to the cake. I will definitely be back.

We stayed at The Habourview Inn for four days/​three nights while visiting Charleston.
Overall, the experience was definitely nice and pleasant. Here are some of the positives:
–Friendly staff for the most part (everyone was helpful and meant well)
–Nice rooms with large, remodeled bathrooms
–Cool common areas (a large atrium, front desk sitting area, and rooftop patio)
–Clean rooms and Free WiFi
–Free morning breakfast (not full service by any means (continental style with pastries, fruit, yogurt, coffee)
–Free wine and cheese hour in the early evening and warm cookies at night with milk (marginal quality, but nice touches
Now to some of the negatives:
–The whole guest experience was not worth the very hefty price tag. While the free food and drinks were nice, it was really annoying not having a full service restaurant in the hotel (although there are plenty of places nearby). We ended up going across the street to The Vendue for some delicious breakfast. The water in the lobby was not refilled often, and the coffee was often cold in the later morning.
–For parking, you must pull your car around to a front parking spot on the street. We found the valet guys failed to come out sometimes, and we often had to go inside to find one. We would also call for our car and not see it for a least 15 minutes
–Somewhat minor… But there is no onsite gym. The front desk said we could get a «discount» at a local gym. The gym ended up being pretty far away, and the gym attendant said there was no discount for hotel guests and charged us $ 15.00 each for a quick workout… (Might not matter to you though)
This is definitely a great option in Charleston near many great restaurants and shops. With the hefty price tag, I would definitely rate the whole experience as 3.5 stars, but I’ll round up to four for the delicious evening cookies.

As a result of researching hotels for a Charleston trip for my wife and me, we picked the HarbourView Inn because of its amenities and location in the French Quarter on the Charleston harbor waterfront.
We were given a water-​view room that was very well appointed, sufficiently spacious, and extremely quiet, comfortable, and clean. Our amenities included complimentary afternoon wine and cheese in the atrium. The continental breakfast was inclusive and delivery options included our room, the atrium, or the hotel’s rooftop. We chose the rooftop because of the nice views and the fine weather. We breakfasted at the hotel three mornings and were wholly satisfied with the quality and variety that included yogurt, parfaits, fruit, cereal, and baked goods plus drinks.
Our service was excellent. All of the members of the staff, including the parking valets, were very courteous and helpful. In particular, our receptionist/​concierge Jessica was a standout. In addition to being very gracious, she provided us with numerous excellent dinner recommendations and called to make reservations for us.
The location of this hotel could not have been better. It is in close proximity to the historic residential district, topnotch restaurants, the Market area, and other city attractions. The free DASH city trolley bus stops across the hotel’s front door and will take you to many attractions outside of walking distance.
The HarbourView Inn is a first-​rate hotel in an ideal location and staffed with very accommodating and professional personnel.

Perfect. Amazing location, great rooftop terrace, extremely comfortable bed, really nice shower and bathroom.
The price was a little much for someone who doesn’t make a ton of money. But wow, there is nothing bad to write about this place.
They do wine and cheese from 5−6pm (free) daily. Cookies and milk from 9pm+ (free), and breakfast delivered to your request (as long as you fill out the paperwork). Coffee and tea (frees) always out in the atrium, as well as fruit (apples, bananas, oranges). Not to mention the staff was extremely nice, well, except the girl who delivered the food for breakfast, i don’t know what it was, but it stuck out really poorly mostly because all the other staff was so friendly from the front desk, to the bellboys, to the girls who help with the wine and cheese.
Don’t even consider staying somewhere else, stay here.

The perfect spot to stay when you’re in Charleston! I was in town recently for a girls weekend and can’t say enough wonderful things about this hotel. From the time I made our reservations by phone to our check out, we had an extremely positive experience.
The hotel is in prime location literally across the street from Charleston Waterfront Park and minutes from the Water Taxi. Everything is within walking distance so there is no need to rent a car or drive.
We had a room with 2 comfy queen beds which were comparable to what you’d see in a Westin or W. The room was very spacious as well as the bathroom. There was also wait staff that would come to our room every day to do «turn down service» which I am not used to and seemed a little funny to me. The coolest part was the complimentary breakfast that was delivered to our room. We had to fill out a breakfast card of what we would like to eat and hang it on our doorknob the night before with our desired breakfast delivery time. Like clockwork, our meals were delivered to our room. Make sure to tip!
They also offer complimentary cookies and milk from 9p-​10p every night as well as complimentary fruit, coffee and tea downstairs in the lobby.
We were out late a few nights and for security measures, you need your hotel card to even enter the hotel which I liked.
Don’t think I will stay anywhere else the next time I am in town. This place is one that I would highly recommend. It is a little pricey but is worth the cost when it comes to the perks and location.
