Last night, this Charleston-based food truck was at the Atlanta Food Truck Park at Howell Mill. Super nice people. Disappointing wings — I got the LPWs and found them over-seasoned and, oddly, a little sweet. They were also«wet» vs «dry,» which is my preference. I only had one of the six in my order. Came with fries, which were pretty good and I also got a side of corn on the cob, which rocked. I didn’t add anything(butter, salt, etc) to it and it was delicious. Probably not a food truck I’ll seek out again — but that corn was good!

While on vacation, it’s always hard to find good local food… mainly because, you’re not a local. Serendipitously, my friend and I were fortunate enough to find this delicious food truck! We went to go wine and vodka tasting at Firefly Distillery and there was this lovely food truck out there. Now my friend and I LOVE to try new food so we were happy to see this truck out there. Looking at the menu, we weren’t sure what to order and know if it was good or not so we asked the lovely young lady working if she could recommend something. She ended up choosing the«Geechee Island Wings». Man… she did us no wrong. Seriously, straight up… no lie at all… Those wings were the best wings I’ve EVER had in my life. No exaggeration at all. these wings were AMAZING. They had a balance of sweet, spice, and salt and they were juicy and wonderful. We had no idea that these wings would be that good. After we had each taken a bite, my friend and I looked at each other and said the same thing, «I think these might be the best wings I’ve ever had.» If only I lived in the Charleston area… I wish I did because then I’d be eating these wings every day.
