CUP is primarily a caterer, coffee roaster and mobile coffee shop. We cater an array of espresso/​coffee drinks as well as waffles, baked goods, tea and Italian style sodas. We have very flexible options that work perfect for weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate events, parties, conventions etc… We can be found on a weekly basis, Saturday 8am-​2pm at the Charleston Farmers Market on Marion Square.

Our coffee is highest quality available and we roast it in small batches to insure optimal results and perfect timing so the coffee beans are always at their freshest. History

Established in 2011.

We opened in April of 2011, but are by no means beginners. We have spent three years prior to opening in research and practice. Our baristas are expertly trained in preparing coffee/​espresso drinks and have an excellent knowledge of coffee in general.

Meet the Business Owner

Robert D.

Business Owner

Robert Dietrich is the owner and founder of CUP. He studied piano and music composition in college, worked for a number of years as a medical equipment technician and is now the owner of two businesses. Robert’s passion for coffee started when he was a student in Germany where the winters are grey and rainy. In the last three years Robert has been intensely studying the art of coffee and espresso making. Coincidentally, some of Robert’s family owns land in Panama that is in the perfect spot for growing coffee. They recently planted 1500 coffee trees including some of the exclusive and highly prized geisha coffee.
