1^st off…1 star because there is no zero. I ate a sausage muffin hash brown and orange juice that cost me $ 413 at your Cherry st. Charleston SC store. I’m sitting there because I happen to love BK. my husband went across to VA while I waited at the BK. he calls to tell me he’s having an episode from his diabetes so I tell him to meet me half way so I can give him the muffin I’m eating. As I turn around in the parking lot. Craven towing is hooking up my vehicle on the other side of the parking lot towing it off. I ask to please not tow my car. He says give me $ 75 cash and I’ll give u the car… but he wouldn’t let me leave to go get the money… another BK customer also tried to pay for my vehicle. .he just drove off with my car and left me crying in the parking lot… I had MANY witnesses as well as employees fixing the outside of BK… who saw this happen and stayed at BK with me til the police arrived. Although I understand t hat BK does not own this parking lot. The BK customers must park here to eat their food inside. This towing company is predatory. The BK manager also sided with me as well as the police. We both received incident numbers from the police as well. That being said… before I take this to the BBB I’d like to resolve this. I need my money back. My husband can barely walk. we had to walk all around Charleston yesterday to find a pawn shop to pawn my jewelry so I could get the vehicle back that was towed from your establishment while I was in the parking lot. That very sad. I don’t want to leave any bad reviews nor call the BBB… and I need to know my vehicle won’t be towed while I’m eating my meal. So please help me? Thanks for your time.

This business is extremely shady, even in an already scummy business. They basically prey on the parking lots of Charleston as their business model. My wife accidently parked on the wrong half of a parking lot divided by a chain link fence on her first day of work at a new job. She had the parking pass in her window for her new employer, but that obviously was not sufficient enough for these mental midgets. The fat guy at the front desk is a real a-​hole. I get it, everybody has a story, but to just be rude for the sake of it is really uncalled for. They make it difficult to pay on purpose. They longer they keep your car, the more money you ultimately have to pay. The ultimate problem with this business type is the city ordinances that allow them to do so. There were several people there picking up cars from the VA Hospital area. Apparently, they prey on disabled veterans as well. Solid business plan guys!

These people are pieces of shit! Charged me $ 720 for parking in a lot that I have been in over 5 years… demanded cash on the spot on a Sunday night with a 15 minute window… i understand that they have raped and pillaged the college scene for years down town Charleston… Charged 6 of us on a Sunday night with only 2 of of us to get out of their lot… other folks $ 920 since they are closed on Mondays… Stay clear of their heister thieves… I ain’t done with them

Folks who get towed: City of Charleston’s Traffic & Transport office regulates tow trucks.
(1) If owner or authorized user of car/​vehicle asks tow operator to drop car/​get it off the truck or lift, tow company must do this. Tow company allowed to charge ½ ($ 75) for this.
If Craven’s refuses, it’s a violation of city ordinance. They get fined by Livability Court over $ 1,000 for violation. PURSUE THIS OPTION. Cravens tows owners and owners guests (in condo complexes) parked in owners OWN spot; but refuses to comply w/​this City of Chtn regulation.

The brilliant people at cravens towed my car from my own apartment building while away on Easter weekend. Granted it was my landlords fault for not providing me with an «updated» parking pass but I clearly had the previous one on display signifying I was obviously a resident. Once towed, again the brilliant people at cravens gave us the run around on the documents needed to pick up the vehicle (which combined with working actual jobs) took me a few days to find the opportunity to pick it up. On top of that they charge you this ridiculous «storage fee» of $ 15 a day added to the $ 181 «towing and labor fee». All said cravens is an extremely shady company looking to «legally?» steal peoples cars, and then your money. Previous reviews seem to back my story… Stay away at all cost.

Absolute criminals. Quite possibly the rudest people I’ve ever met. Do not use this company. They will screw you out of your money.

Craven’s Towing is the biggest scheme I have ever encountered in a «business». I ran into my apartment for a max of 30 seconds to grab some luggage for the weekend, ran back out to my car, opened my car door and looked back to see Craven’s backing up to latch onto my car. When I looked at the driver, who is ironically named Richard, I said, «You’re kidding me?» and he just gave a smug smile. Never once did he say why he was towing me. He never actually said anything at all to me until I asked if he took cash. I’ve called them four times today to get some kind of answers and their line has been «busy». Shocking. They stake out in the alley behind the lot and prey on people who are trying to live an honest, fulfilling life. I suggest not parking in a lot Craven’s Towing supposedly tows for, unless you’re a lawyer and can take these scheming mofos down.

NOOOO DO NOT USE!!! I would give this joke of a business negative stats if possible. The employee that I dealt with here was rude, arrogant, unhelpful, and extremely unprofessional. He refused to allow me to retrieve MY vehicle while I was at the company with the full and exact cash payment after promising I would be able to on Friday evening. After that I decided to wait until Monday morning (even though there will be extra holding fees) to deal with their management. The employee would not let me in my car to retrieve any belongings over the weekend and preceded to call me «a bitch of an old lady» and threaten the well being of my vehicle. I am 100% shocked that people can run their business this way with no repercussions. A Charleston City police officer agreed that it would be a good idea to escort me to the premises on Monday which I will definitely do. PLEASE DO NOT HIRE THS COMPANY!

They were actually recommended to me by another towing company that couldn’t help with my request. Thankfully, they were able to come to me within just a few minutes. The man, I can’t remember his name, was very helpful and friendly. No one wants to have to call a tow company, but if you need them, you appreciate them being nice about everything! I’ll definitely recommend them to anyone who asks about a towing service!
