Charleston Style Limo

Our friend’s wedding used this service from our hotel. We were supposed to be picked up at 3 but I watched the shuttle along with many other wedding guests leave at 2:55. We had to call friends on the shuttle to convince the driver to turn around and pick up the remaining guests. They were told there would be about 20 people but they left with probably 7 people on the bus. Once we actually got on the party bus the driver didn’t bat an eye or apologize for leaving early. There was absolutely no air conditioning on and it was like Dante’s inferno and the driver totally ignored our cries. It was middle of summer and it was a sauna. Once we finally left the shuttle covered in sweat at the wedding venue almost 45 minutes before the wedding started it felt totally cool outside even though it was 90 degrees. Miserable experience and the driver did not care at all, would not recommend unless you want to torture your guests and make sure half of them won’t even end up at the wedding.
Update: the social media rep for this company wanted to verify that the bus left at 2:59, not 2:55. The bus was not parked in the hotel pull-​up but was on the street. There were other shuttles in the pull-​up area, so once we figured out that the bus was waiting on the street, it had already left. Also, the company gave the driver permission to leave at 2:59, which seems a little ridiculous to me. We arrived at the venue so early that the venue was still setting up. He could have waiting 5 extra minutes to make sure he wasn’t missing people. This doesn’t seem like rocket science to me.
Additionally, I need to clarify that we were told there would be 20 people on the bus and there were not, there were less than 10 when he finally came back to pick us up. I’m clarifying that there obviously were not right number of people on the bus before he left early and there were at least 4 people behind. Others could have been left but we happened to run into another couple in the same confused state we were in.
She also sent a long drawn out explanation of why the air conditioning was broken. But in my opinion, you should not put guests in the hot of summer into a bus with no air conditioning. It’s extremely dangerous.
I’m not sure if a message sent to negative Unilocal reviewers like this has ever worked in the past to fix your bad reviews, but there are a bunch of positive reviews on this page with sketchy profiles. This business does not seem to have great ethics in my humble opinion.

We used Charleston Style Limo for our recent wedding weekend for all transportation and I am so glad we did it! It was the best decision ever! Parking, traffic and travel around Charleston can be difficult, esp for guests not familiar with the city. Getting to the church and restaurant and back to the hotel for the rehearsal dinner was so easy! Everyone was able to be on one charter, and were on time for each event! The limobus is spectacular and the wedding party loved it for their rides to the wedding and then reception (and enjoyed the champagne along the way)! The guests liked the shuttles from the hotel to the church, then to the reception, and continuous runs back to the hotel. The drivers Steve and Michael were the best, very attentive and professional. And, the limo for the bride and groom for their getaway as perfect! It was definitely a great decision and I would absolutely use them again and would recommend to others. Stephanie and others in the office were great to work with and very helpful with logistics. Great experience, thanks so much for making this a fun and easy wedding weekend!

Charleston Style Limo was fantastic for us! They are professional, prompt and caring. Steve picked us up at the airport in a giant Mercedes van. He was waiting there for us. He had our comfort and safety as his priorities.
On our return we didn’t hesitate to schedule with Charleston Style Limo. Victor came to our hotel, early to be of help. He was friendly, professional and courteous. We were so happy to have found Charleston Style Limo and wouldn’t use any one else.

Had a shuttle with Antonio from the Carnival Fantasy cruise terminal to the airport. We were a big group of crew members signing off after six months, and really wanted to go to lunch and say our goodbyes since we all had afternoon flights and didn’t want to go straight to the airport. He let us leave our bags with him and allowed to us to come back at a time we chose, so cool and flexible of him! He was a great driver and we had a TON of luggage that he loaded onto the the shuttle with ease. It was like a wall of bags! He got us there safely and in plenty of time to make our fights, and we really enjoyed riding with him.
What makes the experience ten times more awesome – in all my excitement to go home my wallet slipped out of my overstuffed bag. I had no idea who to call since this was a free shuttle for Carnival crewmembers to go to the airport. I called the cruise terminal and mentioned Antonio’s name – the person on the phone knew exactly who he was! He gave me the number and I got in touch with his assistant. She was super nice and helpful and guess what, they had my wallet!
They EXPRESS mailed it back to me and I got it the next day. I was supposed to travel all over to see my family and friends very soon and was so worried about not having an ID, losing my cute wallet and of course all my credit cards and cash. They got me my wallet back in record time and I couldn’t be more relieved or happy.
Not only did they provide a great shuttle service but they helped me out of a HUGE stressful jam in the process. I would recommend Charleston Style Limo to anyone traveling in Charleston. Thank you guys SO much!!! I owe you one! :) :) :)

Didnt get vehicle we were sold
when it arrived it was too close to the wedding ceremony to complain and have to wait for what we paid for (paid for decked out no crammed party van and got a beat up sprinter with bench seats)
Headliner leaked water from AC onto our wedding clothes
Antonio the owner/​dispatcher person (I would NOT call him a customer service person AT ALL) told us that it was too bad and we should have said something when it arrived (we had just enough time to get to ceremony)
When I told him that we were turning around to get the license the bride had forgotten in the room he said that it would be $ 100 more to do so!
WHen I objected and told him about the bait and switch on the vehicle which we paid for up front he said «That is to bad, you should have said something when the driver pulled up!» HOW ABOUT YOU SENDING US WHAT YOU SOLD US FOR $ 240!
Very too bad for you attitude– Antonio should get out of the people business and perhaps transport zoo animals, his vehicles are perfect for such jobs and his attitude works for such a purpose as well

This so called «company» provided the worst service and professionalism of any company I have ever come across. We used their service to take a day trip to the Edisto River and back with an agreed upon price of $ 490 (which is already extremely over priced). On the way to the destination the driver got lost for 2 hours, which in turn shortened our experience on the Edisto, but we got over this, mistakes happen. Once we got back on the bus at the originally agreed upon time we began driving back and the driver pulls over. He tells us that we have to pay $ 200 extra dollars if we want a ride back because of the extra time spent on the ride there. We obviously were not about to pay this because it was their fault in the first place that they got lost. We tried to reason with the manager of the company but he would not communicate with us and simply said $ 200 more dollars. Eventually as he tried to extort us for more money and we would not pay he began cussing us out, and eventually had the driver leave us at a random gas station. Now with girls in bathing suites and no one having a working phone we had to rely on the gas station clerk to call a different taxi company. We then called our credit card company to realize the manager was trying to process $ 590, not even the original $ 490 which should have included the ride home. The absolute worst business from a service company possible, I wouldn’t dare use this company for anything and recommend that everyone stay far away.
