Long stymied by antiquated state laws, local distilleries are now starting to produce spirits in the Holy City and are doing so with the same energy, enthusiasm and passion that has already established Charleston as a internationally recognized culinary destination. Now, in addition to rich history, beautifully preserved historic buildings, stunning beaches and friendly people, Charleston is known for its hand crafted liquors! Experience a taste of Charleston’s flourishing micro-​distillery scene with an exclusive tour of the local distilleries.

On our 3.5 hour tour, enjoy a tour of some of Charleston’s local distilleries! Ride in style in our air conditioned coach as we take you on a 3 stop tasting tour, learning more about Charleston’s growing craft distillery scene. As a special treat, at the conclusion of the tour you’ll be taken to a local pub to enjoy a cocktail made with one of the spirits distilled locally in Charleston!

Our tours offer a behind-​the-​scenes glimpse at the art, science and passion that goes into making a great liquor, all while enjoying samples of unique Charleston spirits. A Charleston Distillery Tour is an ideal activity for bachelor/​bachelorette parties, wedding parties, corporate groups/​team building activities and any avid liquor drinker.

History

Established in 2015.

Spurred by recent changes in South Carolina law, Charleston’s craft distilleries are taking off! We wanted to put together a tour that that allows visitors to visit all 3 of Charleston’s distilleries in one afternoon and learn more about what makes each distillery special. Plus, since South Carolina law limits the size of samples and prohibits the use of mixers at distilleries, we’ve included a finishing stop at a local bar where guests can enjoy a cocktail made from one of the local spirits. That’s hospitality!
