History
Established in 2002.
Mother & daughter duo, Kay & Karen Teeters, started this business while they both still taught school full time. They’d open each Thursday and Friday after school and on Saturdays. Since then, Kay retired from teaching and Karen has gone on to take the position of the local director of the Chamber of Commerce & Tourism, but that hasn’t stopped Bear Creek from growing. In 2011, Bear Creek moved from its 800 square foot storefront to one of nearly 1800 square feet. How’s that for retirement?
