Description

Specialties

We offer a modern take on a traditional taqueria, emphasizing local, fresh ingredients and seasonal menu items. Located in the historic Park Circle district between Mixson Market and Mixson Bath & Racquet Club, this gourmet taqueria lives by Mixson’s sustainable values, featuring a small, ever-changing menu line-up in which the chef utilizes traditional Mexican techniques, produces nearly everything in-house, including handmade tortillas made fresh daily, and grows some of her own vegetables just outside of the restaurant. The beverage component offers craft beers, wines, Mezcal flights, Cava flights and creative cocktails that complement the food. The kitchen services a full catering facility with rental space for events.

History

Established in 2013.

Básico — A taqueria specializing in seasonal fare that is locally grown and produced, this nose-to-tail practicing restaurant’s name practices what it preaches — getting back to the basics. Básico is Spanish for basic or primary and that’s what their kitchen espouses; start with the basic, freshest products, using the fundamental techniques and the result is a flavorful feast.
