For more than 40 years, one law firm has earned a solid reputation for handling the biggest catastrophic accident claims in West Virginia. Our attorneys have represented victims of the Upper Big Branch coal mine disaster, the Sago coal mine disaster, the Aracoma coal mine disaster, the Ghent Little General Store explosion and more. We have taken on industry giants and powerful opponents such as Consol, Massey, ICG, Eastern, Alpha, Patriot, Ford, GM and Enterprise. We are proud to have been selected to represent the State of WV in cases such as WVU’s exit from the Big East Conference and cases where our citizens have been wronged by credit card companies and other lenders.

Meet the Manager

Timothy B.

Manager

The descendant of three generations of coal miners, Tim Bailey centers his practice on the dignity and safety of workers. Born in Mullens and raised in Man, West Virginia, he has first-hand knowledge of the dangers and sacrifices experienced in the heart of coal country. Handling such prominent West Virginia cases as the Upper Big Branch, Sago and Aracoma Mine Disasters and the Ghent Little General Store Explosion, he vigorously represents the families of workers who have been seriously injured or killed by the wrongful acts of others. His experience includes trucking cases involving serious bodily injury or death and cases resulting from defectively designed automobiles and mining equipment. He has recently pursued trendsetting legal actions against coal companies for miners suffering serious occupational lung diseases. He has been honored to be appointed as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of West Virginia to represent the State’s interests in several cases.
