This self service laundromat features homestyle top load heavy duty Speed Queen washers, 18 pound front loading Speed Queen «Horizon» washers that use only 1 quarter cup of detergent to help stretch your laundry dollar. Sixty-​pound and 80 pound washer extractors are the largest available in the Eastern Panhandle and are perfect for rugs, comforters and do-​it-​all-​at-​once customers. History

Established in 1993.

In 1993, Hank purchased the first car wash lot in Shepherdstown, WV. Soon after he discovered a need for more coin operated laundry services in the growing area. Since that day, Whale of a Wash has grown to include 3 Car Washes and 10 Laundromats. Our recipe is simple: Keep a clean, functional facility with warm and friendly employees. It’s always a Whale of a Wash!

Manager

Hank grew up in Lititz, PA. He attended college at Duke University where he played soccer on the All-​American Collegiate Team. After graduation, he held various jobs in sales, customer service, and restaurant services before founding his own washer/​dryer provider service in Denver, CO. Since then his knowledge and passion for the business has grown into Whale of a Wash!
