I wanted to share the fabulous experience my babies had today at the grooming facility they have at A Stay in the Country.
We just moved here in December and were given a packet with the information from this kennel/​groomer. When I called, I knew right away that the dogs were going to be treated like royalty, and they were. Furthermore, the price was unbelievable.
For two small dogs: baths, blueberry facials, full body messages, nail paint on one, and all the other more standard stuff; nail trims, teeth brushing, bathed and hair cut… ALL FOR UNDER $ 100.
We got a tour of the kennel too. The manager was a vet tech for 17 years, and she loves what she does. She was enthusiastic about their service and how much time during days the dogs spend playing and enjoying the property. They have large ‘rooms’ with doggy doors to the outside. Someone is there 24/​7, and they do cool homemade treats everyday.
When we picked the dogs up they smelled and looked fabulous and they were so calm and relaxed… I could tell they had a great day! I’m just so impressed, I hope you guys give this place a shot!

Our 14 year old lab loves this place and doesn’t want to leave. The staff here take great care of all of the dogs — our dog is pretty high maintenance with extensive medication multiple times a day and ear treatments. It’s an amazing facility out route 5 (on the Cap2Cap trail), and the owner lives onsite. They do require an activity package based on their personality and activity level, which keeps the dogs active and they make friends. I highly recommend.

My dog Rory loves A Stay in the Country! There is plenty of space for her to run and play. She likes interacting with the other dogs too. Everything is really left up to you, when your dog eats, who they do or do not interact with and suchlike. The owner is very nice and accommodating to you and your dog’s needs (she’ll give them meds or a bath etc.). I highly recommend getting the groom option for the last day if you’re going to be gone for more than a couple days; it is a farm after all. I’m in the military and my schedule can be hectic at best, though I have never used the day care service I know she has one. I take my dog to stay here whenever I have to be away overnight. The rates are the best I’ve seen in this area and worth every penny!
