Returned home today from a lovely weekend at Nickerson Park! In my years of camping I’ve found that most campgrounds have a habit of tossing patrons on a tiny plot of land and collecting cash… at Nickerson the experience was the complete opposite. After giving us directions over the phone, owner Chris graciously welcomed us into a lodge loaded with board games, table tennis, pool and a few arcade machines. He gave us our site number and a brief rundown on who was camping on the sites to either side of us(which is extremely helpful!) and an itinerary of events going on during the weekend. He was extremely helpful and kind to us, and recommended some awesome hiking trails. The campground is awesome, the plots aren’t too small, and the grounds are shared between RV and tent camping. On top of the great stuff in the lodge, Nickerson has a playground, volleyball net and basketball course to keep the family busy. Even going with friends as an adult I was quite content with the array of things to do on the campground alone. I highly recommend Nickerson Park Family Campground!
