Great store to get cheap office supplies — including desks, book cases, chairs, file folders, binders, laptops, desktop monitors, old printing ink, and some random office supplies.
The place is not too large, but the selection is up to par. I went for a $ 10 office chair. All the chairs are $ 10, which is fortunate and unfortunate since some are in a lot better shape than others. I got a cute blue swivel chair, which was very clean. I am planning to cover it with a cloth slip, just for sanitary reasons. I cleaned the wheels when I got home, and yea, it works, nice and cheap!
I definitely recommend. Also, if you are looking for a desk, I would get a bigger car, the desks are ginormous and look pretty heavy.

I went to check it out today. I think my expectations were a little high.
Good spot if you want basic ugly furniture, of the office variety, and old super outdated computer equipment. Better than an Apple IIC, but not by much.
I was looking for a chair, there were about 15, but all brutally beat up and ugly as sin. The best takeaway was a cool looking pair of Nike cleats I found…

The Surplus Property warehouse is a fantastic place to find used office equipment, electronics, and supplies for super-​cheap. The hours are a little difficult to work around, as they’re only open 8am-​4pm on Tuesdays and Fridays, but there are so many good deals that I’d actually get up early and go before work if I was looking for something specific. The items for sale are generally in good shape — a lot of UNC departments lose their budget money if they don’t spend it by the end of the year, so they’ll buy a replacement whenever the item starts to show age. Remember to enlist a friend with a truck because there’s no one to help you carry the item and they definitely don’t deliver.

This has replaced Craigslist as my go-​to site for cheap home shopping. It’s fantastic. I tend to need a lot of filing stuff for my various jobs and they’ve had everything I could ever hope for, not to mention audio stuff that I can adapt for use with my band. Amazing.
Things here are cheap, but getting them away isn’t easy. Come with big transport if you’re carrying furniture, and make sure that you check their hours… They’re only open to the public at odd times.

My old job at the Business School in the IT department donates equipment to UNC surplus, and we donated some awesome things. We’re talking slightly used high end projectors, virtually brand new TVs, and all the audio equipment you could ever imagine. It’s a great place to look for a new desk and chairs as well, and sometimes you even find some random oddities like park benches. It’s a garage sale goers dream in this place but be ready to look around for a while as it is a pretty huge warehouse.

I love this place! It’s very well organized with the plethora of items they have coming in all the time. They’ve got so much stuff it’s amazing, you can come in here to shop for a first time apartment or small office — that is if you don’t want to spend a lot of money and have some good quality stuff that will last for quite a while.
I bought these two silver floor lamps, for like $ 10 or $ 15 for the two of them. They’ve got CPUs, laptops, VCRs, filing cabinets, office chairs, desks, arm chairs you name it and I think they might have it. I’ve even seen some old antiquated medical equipment in there. I also bought a small file cabinet for about $ 7 or $ 8 bucks.
This place has so many bargins it is just crazy!
