The North Carolina Hammock Company

This company produces hammocks and patio furniture made in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia except for its Brazilian wood line which, as you would expect, comes from Brazil. The main headquarters is in Durham but they do have a store in the University Mall in Chapel Hill.
We have been meaning to get a hammock for awhile and it seemed serendipitous that we happened to walk by a store primarily selling hammocks and patio furniture after we stopped at A Southern Season. We found what we wanted quickly and the man running the business was very helpful and friendly. I love the assortment of rockers, swings, high quality wood dining sets, gliders, and the wood finishes offered. It is also nice to know that your purchase helps the local economy and you get a well crafted quality product as well. We are going to buy a stand alone swing for our screened in patio next.
I also loved the dining sets which will probably be next on our list if it cools down enough where we want to eat outside. They even had weather resistant couches with a nice selection of upholstery. Many items were in stock but if you do have to backorder it it only takes 1 – 2 weeks.
