Our Community Manager, Rebecca, came on board at Alta Springs in June 2014. She has 7+ years experience in the property management industry. Rebecca’s main focus is resident relations and customer service. She takes it upon herself to make sure that all of our residents have the best apartment experience while living on our property. I travel for work doing year long projects. I found Springs of Chapel Hill and it is by far the nicest apartment I have stayed in. Unique wood flooring that looks very authentic. Top notch marble counter-tops and stainless steal appliances. Extremely nice cabinets and wooden blinds. I had the luxury of being the first to move into one of the apartments, so the carpet was also new.
The washer and dryer is stacked and better than the one I have in my house back home.
I was here for a 12 month project that turned into 17 months. I had to change my lease many times as I never quite knew when I would be done. They were very accommodating. Of course there were some fees, but they kept me from having to put my furniture into storage and move out (my notice of staying was last minute at times.). This also gave me the opportunity to live in a couple different apartments. If you go with a one bedroom… pay the extra few bucks for the larger floor plan. It’s not a lot more square footage, but the layout is so much nicer.
Given my ever changing move out date I also spent a lot of time in the office. I won’t use there names, but the gal the signed me up remembers me by name every time I go to the clubhouse. One of the newer employees is also very attentive and friendly.
This has been the best experience I have had in 15 years of corporate travel. The price is a bit higher, but definitely you are getting more bang for those bucks. My deposit was not a months rent… was lower. That helped balance it a bit.
Overall…take a look at this place for sure.

Chapel Hill, NC

My husband, daughter and I lived here for one year. We have lived in three previous apartments, and this was the best.
Pros:
— Excellent, thoughtful management. The manager even lives in the apartments.
— Beautiful new gym and pool area. The gym has vaulted ceilings with wood beams, and each elliptical and treadmill has its own built-in TV.
— Our daughter loved the playground.
— Hardwood floors, granite countertops, washer/dryer in each apartment.
— Friendly neighbors. It seemed to me that about half of the residents were graduate students and the other half were older professionals. We made lots of friends.
— Smoke free community. There is no smoking inside or outside in The Springs.
Cons:
— The master bedroom of our first floor apartment was located right outside six very loud HVAC units.
— Since the units have hardwood floors, you can hear people walking in the apartment above you.
— Dogs are permitted, and even though the management provides plenty of dog waste bags and trash areas, a couple of residents don’t pick up after their pets.
