We booked a «suite» for 3 months with Nina of How Suite It Is, when my husband and I and our two small dogs(JRTs) moved from Africa to Chapel Hill, NC. It was an excellent choice! Our one-bedroom, fully-furnished suite was one-half of a small house that included an outdoor area with picnic table and grill where the dogs could run and play. The house itself was not remarkable, but it was comfortably furnished and had wifi. When we had a plumbing problem one night, Nina immediately resolved it. When we arrived, we found flowers, a basket of fruit, and bathroom and kitchen supplies. Shopping malls were nearby. Best aspect was the neighborhood and the friends we made while walking the dogs. Booking for 3 months gave us sufficient time to establish our residency in NC and buy our own house. We recommend How Suite It Is to Chapel Hill visitors looking for a hotel alternative.

Nina helped us out when we were in a crunch and considering an extended stay motel. Instead we landed in her pleasant basement suite in a quiet residential area near trails and convenient to town. With a kitchen, office space, laundry, queen size beds, and patio with grill, we found it a great alternative to a motel setting.

Here at Sharp Medical Solutions we staff nurses, therapists, techs everywhere in the USA. Chapel Hill was a tough housing market until we met Nina at HowSuiteItIs. We’ve never worked with someone more courteous and professional. Nina was available during her vacation by cell phone, text message and email. She had our nurse setup on a Sunday with short notice from us. Excellent customer service. A sincere thank you to Nina from Nebraska. Our travel nurse was happy to stay with you.

How Suite It Is represents Southern hospitality at its finest. Nina goes out of her way to make you feel right at home in her suites. For example, she left a fruit basket and some treats for when I arrived with my two dogs. I had just had an exhausting trip relocating from DC to Chapel Hill and after meeting Nina I knew I had moved to the right place. You can’t go wrong staying in one of Nina’s suites.

Even though I confirmed by email multiple times, and had an email from the owner with precise dates just the week before, I got an email just days before my trip telling me they«made a mistake» and could not honor my reservation. I didn’t have a good feeling about this from the beginning. I should have followed my intuition.

This place is great. If you need to stay in Chapel Hill for a week or more, there’s no better place. The apartments are fully furnished, including a nicely outfitted kitchen, and when you come back at the end of the day, it feels a little like coming home. Way better than a hotel room or a bed and breakfast, since, for less than the cost of either, you’ve got your privacy and an incredible amount of space. There’s laundry on premises, and all your linens are provided. If you’re a student and need to do research at UNC or at Duke, How Suite It Is ought to be your first choice. Nina’s a great host. She left a fruit basket and bag of cookies for me when I arrived.
