As a cab owner/​operator from the Midwest, I found Goodfella’s to be top notch!
Rode from University Inn to RDU. Cab was fairly new, very clean and my driver was
very pleasant and professional!
Highly recommended and will most certainly use again, next time I’m in the area.

Picked up on time and had a pleasant conversation with Joe, the owner, on my way to the train station. As a visitor to the Chapel Hill area, I’m very glad I ended up choosing the most personable service available, and now I know who to call next time I’m back.

I got from Chapel hill to the airport for 40 $! That is enough to earn five stars methinks. The driver was extremely punctual, very friendly, and unlike with cab drivers in my own fair city, I did not feel on the brink of death at every moment. Only tiny concern was that the driver answered a text or looked something up during my ride on his phone. I know you guys have a business to run and need to communicate, but don’t text and drive, kids! Other than that, very awesome service.

I’m new in Chapel Hill and this taxi service made me feel right at home. Friendly, helpful beyond their sphere of responsibility and altogether just an easy stress free trip.

Kenny was great, took us around town and to the airport later. Very considerate and he arrived early to account for rush hour. Definitely recommend.

We got ice and snow lastnight and I work at a bar on franklin st. Called the guys and jason (i think that was his name, a guy working around 9pm) picked me up. The roads were crap, and he got me home all the way out at governors club apartments. These guys care about what they do and are good at it. I will never use anyone else. Go Heels Go Goodfellas!

Goodfellas did us a favor and went a bit out of their normal service area to drive us home safely on New Year’s Eve. Great service by our driver, Ken! Prompt, less expensive compared to another local cab company. Will certainly add them to my contact list in my phone! Thanks guys!

Goodfellas has NEVER let me down. Every driver is fun and has good conversational skills. More important for most people is that they’ve always arrived right on time or early, but for me the customer service can’t be beat. I’ll always call these guys. Prices are great, too!

Renting a car is so much more expensive than getting a taxi with Goodfellas! Granted, I got the student discount, but getting a ride from Carrboro to the RDU airport only cost $ 40, which was crazy to me, even though it was at five in the morning.
They promptly arrived around 4:55, called me to let me know they were there, and told me to take my time to get ready.
Riding over to the airport, the driver was super friendly, answered all my questions about Chapel Hill, and was super enthusiastic, even though it was 5 in the morning and he’d been up since 7PM.

These guys are great. I’ve called them a few times, and they’re always very prompt and professional.

Goodfellas is always very straightforward and great to deal with on the phone; they will tell you which driver will pick you up and when — very helpful.
They have treated both me and my wife to the 3 best taxi rides of our lives and I look forward to using them again.
I couldn’t be more appreciative of their services, they are gentlemen seem to be authentically kind with just the right amount of flavor in their personality.

Once upon a time I went grocery shopping. I took the bus, got there, told myself I’m only getting 17 items tops and I’ll be out, take the bus back home and that’ll be that. After I checked out, I realized that I bought more than I can carry back comfortably on the bus (and no wants to be /​that/​guy), so I went on Unilocal searched for a cab, saw Goodfellas as the top rated taxi in the area and decided to go for it!
Best decision I made that week. The operator was very pleasant and was very patient with me while I asked one of the cashiers for the address of the store. I was surprised that they agreed to pick me up even though I was all the way in Durham (coming back to Chapel Hill).
They arrived within the time-​frame that they specified (rare for cabs) which was a short wait. The driver, Graham, was very nice and funny! We talked about awesome places and things to do in Chapel Hill, and he gave me some very solid recommendations that I’ve already tried out and loved!

My car broke down near Chapel Hill on a very hot 95 degree afternoon. I had called for help, but I was left waiting for an hour or more in the stifling heat. Then, a «knight in shining armor» came to my rescue– Dave W. from Goodfellas Taxi! He offered to allow me to sit in his air conditioned car while I waited for the tow truck to come! I am an older woman with some medical concerns that could have been worsened by the heat. Dave W. was so kind and so respectful, I can never thank him enough for his help! If more businesses had employees who were this thoughtful, the world would be a kinder, gentler place!

Who takes the time to write a review for a taxi service?! Well today it’s me. We received the best taxi service ever in the US, after a series of FAILS by other companies in Chapel Hill. Super punctual, arrived in a van exactly as we requested, they called and texted to confirm, and as a bonus — our driver was so much fun! His name is Kenny and our whole family felt that he was a part of getting our family vacation off to a great start. Definitely will use them again. So relieved to have a great taxi service in Chapel Hill finally.

Had a wonderful experience with Goodfellas Taxi. We called ahead to get a pickup on the 4^th of July at 5 pm for a wedding. Our driver was on time and gave us a call when he was there. The cab was clean, and he even had a small cooler with water bottles that he offered to everyone in the cab. They accept credit cards via phone (something similar to Square) and we could tip via phone too. Our driver was super friendly. These guys will be my go-​to taxi from now on!

I’ve been living her a few years and never found a decent taxi until Goodfella’s started. Been using them for a while, usually a few times a month. The prices are consistent, drivers always friendly and polite, and I never have to wait more than 15 minutes or so. The drivers also know where they are going without GPS a lot of the time, which I find impressive since most cab drivers don’t know anything about navigation these days.

Highly recommend this company. The cab arrived less than ten minutes after I called. Driver was super friendly and even helped us carry up groceries. Taxi cab was very clean!

My wife and I recently found ourselves with knee problems that made it impossible for either of us do drive. Since we had as many as six appointments a week for PT and doctors, we started looking around for transportation options. I noticed that Goodfellas taxi was highly rated on Unilocal. We decided to give them a try for one of our early appointments, and it proved to be a very wise choice.
We were really impressed by the personal service, the price, the excellent driving, and the clean taxis! The driver called us five minutes before he arrived, and he gave great service during the ride. We continued to use them for transportation to the Southpoint area, Durham and around Chapel Hill. The dispatcher knew our situation and ensured that we were able to arrive on time for all of our appointments.
We were fortunate the have the same driver (John) for all of our rides — he continued to provide excellent personalized service every time. We felt like we were being taken care of by a good friend. Goodfellas Taxi really helped us through a very difficult time, and we will always be grateful. We will be certain to use Goodfellas again — for rides to the airport or for any other need.

Are you kidding me? This is as «GOOD AS IT GETS!!!» Our driver, Joe and Goodfellas Taxi Service, was super accommodating! Not only did he wait over 1 hour for my mother’s delayed train to arrive in North Carolina, Joe, got her promptly safe and sound to her hotel and arranged for her multitude number of heavy bags to be brought upstairs and placed in her hotel room.
It got even better… After my mom told me this, I had to meet Joe and see Goodfellas Taxi for myself. Once again, Joe was reliable, and got there over an ½ hour early to retrieve her bags and take her to the train depot. I had the opportunity to personally «Thank» Joe and Goodfellas Taxi Service for a job/​service well done and that they made my mom so content and helped her enjoy her vacation for the weekend!!!
And because of Goodfellas Taxi Service, my mom cannot stop raving about her trip to North Carolina!
