Accent Design

I can’t say enough good things about Dave Wadford. He came up with an awesome master plan, plus very detailed landscape and hardscape designs, and patiently worked through many revisions as my project evolved. He was also very flexible in terms of giving me advice on how to do parts of the project myself … it was obvious that Dave had my best interests at heart rather than trying to optimize his profit (or the profit of the contractors that he recommended). Working with Dave was a real pleasure!

I found Dave at a Raleigh home show. I wanted landscaping plans we could follow to avoid the bickering later on of what to plant where. My backyard was a complete mess. I have drainage issues and needed the entire area cleared of brush. Dave drew up both drainage and a landscaping plan for me in an AutoCad program. He was extremely easy to work with and picked lots of plant species that are easy to find locally in NC. That doesn’t seem like a big deal for easy to find plants until you have to begin sourcing the plants.
I worked with another company to do the actual landscape work and we are doing the plantings ourselves. Since then Dave has been a tremendous resource. He has helped me find my favorite plant nursery, a civil engineer, suggested alternative plants, and come back out to discuss additional tweaks to my yard. He is highly responsive, professional, prompt & affordable.
I highly recommend Accent Design if you are looking for landscape plans & need a landscape architect to help you out. I will be hiring him again to do the front of my house once I can afford it.
