This shop is great. Brian is professional, trustworthy and extremely knowledgeable. They take the time to explain your options. Prices are more than fair for the quality and time they put in to your vehicle. One vehicle I took in, they spent the time and energy diagnosing possible issues. After notifying me of what may be going on, I wasn’t charged anything for their, time, effort and knowledge. Simply a great place to take your car and the comfort that you are being treated fairly and honestly. Without hesitation. The only place I’ll be taking my cars is My Dads Garage. Thanks Brian.

The most dedicated, honest auto mechanics I know of. Wish I could give them more stars. How invaluable it is to have a trustworthy expert on your side. Brian maintains all of my cars, 2 Hondas (95 &14) a 95 Camry and a 02 Chevy Tahoe. He gives me honest assessments every time and even tries to save me money. My Dads Automotive exceeds all my expectations in a shop. I am always excited to refer.

Best and most fair and honest mechanic I have found in the area in over 20 years! He goes out of his way to take care of your vehicle even taking it to ANOTHER shop to have an inspection done before he did inspections! Brian is an automotive genius! I have had several crazy things happen to my Cadillac … Not only did he quickly and properly diagnose and fix it… he charged me hundreds less than the dealership and it was fixed correctly the first time. Even more comforting is the fact that if something goes wrong with my car I can call him and get my car in fast. And I know he will take care of the problem carefully and correctly!!! You can not find this kind of genuine knowledge of cars anywhere… He is smart, reasonable and does top-​notch work!!!

Easily the most trustworthy mechanic in the area. Brian is great! He gives you an honest and fair assessment of your vehicle and provides advice/​guidance on what maintenance NEEDS to be done to maintain your vehicle. What NEEDS to be done… not what he WANTS to do to your car to upsell you. He’s even suggested at times of choosing the cheaper (less expensive) route in certain situations. He provides you his advice and gives you options. and of course you have to choose what is best for your car (and wallet).
Brian has a wealth of knowledge but specializes in Honda/​Acura and German made vehicles (Audi, BMW, etc). Overall great guy and accomplished professional.
I’ve been going to My Dad’s Automotive since the company opened and will continue to go there for the life of my vehicle. I live in Arlington and travel to Chantilly just to have my car (2005 Acura TL) serviced by My Dad’s. There are plenty of mechanic shops around but this is the only shop I trust to provide an honest evaluation of my car.
Definitely a 5 star rating. I highly recommend visiting My Dad’s Automotive for your vehicle maintenance needs.

Brian at My Dads Automotive is by far the most knowledgeable and honest mechanic I know! I have been taking my cars to Brian for 20 years now and will continue for another 20 years. I will follow him wherever he goes, I don’t care how far I have to travel. Finding an HONEST mechanic is hard to come by. I brought my bmw 325i for new vehicle inspection.
Great business, trustworthy and honest.
Im new to the area so i did research on mechanics.
Went to 3 places and decided on My Dads Auto.
I went back and bought new runflats and had them installed. I will be going here for all my vehicle needs.
I would recommend this place for any friends or anyone in general.
Nowadays we have alot of shady mechanics.
My Dads Automotive is NOT one of them.

I had my Toyota Tacoma fully serviced with an extensive overhaul by My Dad’s and they were SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than Toyota and used the same genuine Toyota parts. I have no idea why you would go to the dealership. The owner was one guy and he was the actual mechanic. Here you deal directly with the person working on your car, not a receptionist who doesn’t know anything and has an attitude like at EVERY Toyota dealership I’ve been to. My Dads also stands behind their work longer than the Toyota dealership… I love this place.
