Battlefield Towing & Storage

If I could, I would give 0 stars. The one in Leesburg VA was run by an idiot called Starkey. Not sure where they found him but prob he didn’t even pass high school, probably a thug, more like an idiotic & moronic thug. I am sure he never heard of concepts like good customer service or good management. I just moved to an apartment complex and after a day of moving, I forgot to put the tag up even though I parked it in the designated area for residents. My car was towed that night. I called their phone & another moron that answered the call said it is only a mile away so I can walk to collect my car and that I had to pay $ 160 for it. She said if I agree to walk to their place, she will arrange for somebody to be there to help me get my car back. I walk to the place & I see nobody at the front door or inside the building. I call that moron back and she said a guy waited for me but had to leave because I did not reach in time. I told her that I took the normal amount of time a person would take to walk a mile to reach their place. She said that guy drove back to Chantilly so I have to wait and he will be back. I called her 3 more times in the next hour & she got impatient with me & was rude and said she cannot do anything. I just have to wait. There had nothing outside the bldg, not even a shady area or a waiting area, nothing. I had to wait on the dirt area outside the bldg in 90+ degree heat. I was in tears. Even after 45 minutes, nobody shows up. Then suddenly a couple drive up to the front from behind the bldg & they were like «omg, you are here, how long have you been waiting?» I told them everything. And they were shocked and kept telling me that the moron on the phone knows well that they were working in the back of the bldg & that they could have helped me right away. They also said that that moron on the phone can see them on the security camera video in real time. They also said that they even told her that they can drive towards where I am walking and pick me up. So that evil moron on the phone completely ignored all of that & did not let them help me, did not let them release my car for me. I don’t know what that evil moron on the phone has against me. I did nothing to cause that. This nice couple were shocked, helped me right away and told me that I should call «Starkey» the evil manager the next day and let him know what happened & how badly I was treated.
I called that Starkey guy the next day and right off the bat, he behaved like an ignorant, immoral and evil thug. He wouldn’t even let me say a couple of sentences & he started yelling saying how «the guy went back to Chantilly & it is impossible for him to come back fast». I said «but you did not even let me finish what I was going to say» He started raising his voice even more and was like «just tell me if you got your car back or not» & I was like «but that is not the point» and he kept talking over me repeating that same sentence. Finally I said «will you let me finish» & he wants to act like he has some kind of integrity and business sense at that point and says «ok, I have things to do, I will put you on speaker, say whatever you want». I told him how I did not had to wait for an hour in the heat outside their bldg on a dirty pavement coz the ppl working behind the bldg would have helped me right away if they were told that I was there waiting by the person on the phone or if the person on the phone told me that I should just walk to the back of the bldg for help. He barely listened to it & he is like «are you done» & he goes off on how the guy from Chantilly cannot come back in time and there is nothing anybody can do. At this point I felt like pulling my hair out and killing myself because I cannot stand the ignorance and arrogance combo of this idiot. I interrupted him & said but you did not even listen to what I said, I did not even had to wait for that guy from Chantilly. He went off the handle because I interrupted his stupidity
I am going to report about this company to everything out there and do everything I can to expose this thug company

My truck slide off the road during a snow storm around 8PM on a Saturday night. Called tons of towing companies and only reached an answering machine. Called Battlefield and a person answered the phone PLUS the tow truck was onsite in 20 minutes.
Pulled my truck out of the trees and snow and only charged $ 125. Just wanted to thank them and spread the word that this was amazing service during a terrible time, in horrible weather.

They towed me purposely after 7 to charge an extra $ 25. The call came in at 6. Unprofessional staff attended me when picking up my vehicle.

i was just towed by this company tonight (july 3.) my car had been parked in a newly changed status of parking spot. it was after 10pm and i had previously parked in the same spots before. by the way, also a holiday weekend. i walked out to the spot having realized the change of status (about an hour after arriving) and my car was gone. here was the response, «that’ll be 125 dollars.» i am visiting my girlfriend and can’t believe this.
this is highway robbery, please do not patronize this towing company. this is a no star company, i repeat, no stars.
do not use this company, they will suck your blood. i agree with everything that was previously said.

My sister’s car broke down. Geico transferred us to a third party tow truck company and this is the pathetic excuse for a third party company that we got. After I speak to the manager tomorrow morning, I’ll be calling Geico and letting them know that they should seriously reconsider referring any of their customers to these rude jerks.
As I write this, I am still waiting for the tow truck to show. They said they’d be here in forty minutes. Its now been almost TWO HOURS and it’s really dark outside. I’m literally standing by a busy street with woods on either side. When I called them back an hour after waiting, the lady told me she «just» gave the driver the address to where we were. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT WHEN YOU SAID HE’D BE HERE IN 40 MINUTES??! When I called again, an hour and twenty minutes later, she said «honestly» it’d be another 15 minutes bc of rush hour… REALLY!!! You’re coming from Chantilly and it’s 9:30 PM. What kind of BS rush hour are you talking about??? That was 25 minutes ago. When I called again, she gave me an attitude bc she’d «already» told me he was on his way… but that was two freakin hours ago… triple the time she originally gave me… so when she started getting snappy I asked to speak to her manager bc, I told her, it was very dark outside, we were in a not so safe place, and we’d been waiting so long and she kept making up how long it would take for the driver to get there. She told us the manager wasn’t there (convenient) but we could call tomorrow. When I asked for her name, she said it was Sandy. Sandy is not a nice person and she certainly shouldn’t be answering phones for Battlefield bc she treats her customers like crap.
Update: The tow truck never showed. I called another place called Road Runner and they showed up in… wait for it… FIVE MINUTES!!! Don’t I feel like an idiot for not calling them first and going through Geico instead. As a courtesy, I called Battlefield and told them never mind, they could cancel the tow truck because they said 40 minutes and it was now past two hours, and what do you think they said-«oh no, he’s like right around the corner! Because you know, it’s been two hours so he’s like right there!» No. Sandy literally couldn’t have cared less. A simple «okay» was all I got. No apologies, not attempts to fix it or make it better. Nothing. I’m starting to think that after the second phone call, Sandy got tired of dealing with me and just cancelled the tow truck herself… or she never bothered to call him at all to begin with. Why would you tell someone that a tow truck will be out there in 40 minutes, have it take two hours, and not bother to follow up to let them know you’ll be late or apologize a single time in the process??! I commute to DC from Sterling and believe me it does NOT take TWO hours to get to DC in RUSH HOUR let along drive less than 10 miles from Chantilly to Sterling.
The Road Runner guys were amazing. The woman who picked up the phone was kind and they showed up in FIVE minutes like i said earlier. They charged us like 80 bucks total, which is nothing compared to what I’ve heard Battlefield charges. Look ‘em on Unilocal.They’re off Woodburn Rd (sp?) near Cascades parkway.

Not worth giving any stars. This is the worst towing company. If you want to get your car damaged please call them. They manhandle your car. The car will get damaged for sure. My car was towed as road assistance and the insurance company send the towing truck from this company. They hooked my car and after driving for a distance thee car got dropped and the whole of the back bumper cracked. The manager is not responding and I have witness’s who can testify that the driver manhandled the car. I am now moving to civil court and will have to go through a lot of mess.

First off– we live in a community on a dead end street, not sure why we need towing. Most lots have plenty of parking and I pay a mortgage that apparently only extends to the end of my steps because if anything is wrong. no parking pass, registration expired, etc they will tow it. Now I understand it is my homeowners association’s rule, not theirs so I don’t slight Battlefield Towing for this.
Complaining aside, I discovered this my first night at my place. No one mentioned that we had «paid parking» surrounding our homes when I met with the home owners association… so around midnight of my first night in my home my friend and I breathe a sigh of relief that we just unpacked and situated everything when I see lights outside my kitchen window. I step outside and see my car up on the truck about to be towed away. I approach the driver and inform him I live here. He said nothing except «no parking pass.» I reply, telling him that I wasn’t aware I needed one, that no one told me about it. He said «that’s not my problem.» I am a pretty easy going guy but that flipped a switch in me and it took my last nerve not to lose it on this guy. I said something about being right here and there was no need to tow, I was as nice as possible about it and he said he wouldn’t take it… for a drop fee of 50 $. Well it was better than the 150 $ I would have paid at their offices. Luckily I had that kind of money on me. I paid him, he dropped it down and left. It was only then we realized my friend’s car was already towed. So there was another 150 $ of mine gone. Welcome to the neighborhood. You think most human beings would be at least a little understanding here.
Should I judge a place based on the limited experiences I have had? Maybe not but until I have a positive experience with them I can only say that I wish my HOA went with a more professional organization.

All I can say is that it was pretty scary to see one of their trucks rumbling through a residential community (and the stop sign) while towing a car that started swinging out wildly from side to side.
The driver immediately responded (must have been scary in the cab) and jumped out of his truck to add some security straps to the vehicle. Hope he got back to the garage safely with an undamaged car in tow.
