Video Conversion Experts specializes in converting your old 8 mm, Super 8 and 16 mm film into DVD, BluRay or digital files. We use the highest resolution and highest quality equipment in the world. We offer SD, HD, 2K and 4K film scanning. But we don’t stop there. We also have several film restoration technologies to improve what the film looks like now. We correct colors, exposure and can remove film grain and can stabilize the video. The quality you get back will, in general, look better than the quality you gave us if you do at least our HD or 2K scan with grain removal and stabilization.

History

Established in 1980.

Video Conversion Experts started out doing amateur 8 mm and Super 8 film. We were then one of the first companies to offer 8 mm and Super 8 film restoration in the late 1990’s. By early 2003 we started offering 16 mm film transfers. By 2008 we started offering 2K and 4K scanning for 16 mm and 35 mm film. We were the first company in the world to offer 2K scanning of 8 mm and Super 8 film in 2012. Video Conversion Experts has scanned dozens of independent movies, the first Space X launch to the international space station from NASA, missile and plane test flights for the US Air Force and historical Volcanic activity for the US Geological Survey. In addition, we have archived film for companies like Fender Guitars, Converse Shoes and Ford Motor Company.

Business Owner

Brad has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Colorado State University and a Masters in Science in Computer Engineering from Arizona State University. Brad started his career at Intel in 1990 and worked as a engineer, engineer manager, factory automation manager and senior staff engineer until he left in 2005. Brad purchased Video Conversion Experts in 2003 and has pushed the technology to bring the company into a top position among the film scanning industry.
