Uptown Art

I actually have never painted here. However, I did send my boyfriend and his daughter on a daddy daughter date for family day on ¹⁄₁₆ for part of his birthday gift. I had been communicating with Ruby via email with questions I had. Ruby was incredibly helpful in everyway possible! My boyfriend and his daughter also had so much fun and a great experience while painting there! We can’t wait to go back and paint more! Thanks for such a wonderful experience Uptown Art!

We purchased a paint class on ¹⁰⁄₂₃ «Autumn Rain»
We enjoyed our experience and the final outcome of our creation but there were a few down sides. It’s truly imperative to have a completed painting next to the instructor so we can see WHY we are doing a certain part/​piece. It was really frustrating to not see what we were being instructed to paint. I had to rely on my cell phone picture which was a little scary seeing as how we were dealing with paint!
The lighting in the studio needs some major help. It cast lots of shadows making it difficult to see your canvas clearly. The staff did what they could which was very appreciative.
My last and most important issue is the fact that our class was incredibly over-​sold. Luckily we got the end of the table but it felt like we were packed in like sardines. It is a paint with wine place but I didn’t have enough room to even set my cup down. I had to pull over another stool and balance it, and hoped that it didn’t spill/​fall.
If you know your studio can hold 20 people comfortably, don’t sell 40 tickets and apologize the entire class for the lack of room.
This place has great potential but needs to make a few changes.

I had an amazing experience!
I register online their website is pretty simple to navigate, and to pay for classes. I got a email confirmation ASAP. When I showed up someone greeted me at the front desk, and gave me a rundown of where I could find everything.
The instructor was nice, funny, and the perk was that there were two assistants helping everyone on the floor.
I look forward to attending to future classes.

I love Uptown Art. I went there with a big group and they were so accommodating to our bridal party. We had a blast and everyone was impressed by the instructions given, we felt like we were painting pros afterwards. It is quite cozy in there but we had plenty of fun! I would go back many times!

I’ve been to Uptown Art twice now and have had a great experience both times. The first time I went, the painting was of an owl which was pre-​drawn and the second time, the painting was of a tree which was not pre-​drawn. I’m glad the first time I went I didn’t have to worry about drawing anything but rather could just focus & get used to mixing colors, painting on the canvas, etc. The second time was a little bit intimidating, but the painting turned out much to my liking.
One of the reasons for why I like this studio so much is because the staff is great. They’re really willing to help you get your painting where you want it to be, whether it be assisting in getting the «right» colors as you want them or touching up parts of it to make things look better. At the same time, they’re good about not taking over or hovering if you really just want to do your own thing.
My recommendation: Check out their calendar online & pre-​register so it makes checking in super fast. Don’t forget to bring a bottle of wine, snacks, & some good friends along when you come!

My two friends and I came here for the first time and had a blast! None of us have ever gone to an art class in our lives and can barely draw stick people. We brought our own wine, chatted, painted, and laughed (a lot). The staff was amazing and helpful… for us that are not so artistic. I loved how everything was done step by step and it was easy to follow. I will definitely return. We just signed up for the paint your pet night! Cant wait

Had a wonderful first time here painting and relaxing. The shop is clean and well-​organized, the teachers are efficiently patient, and my work of art turned out better than I expected. I love the step-​by-​step fun and the fact that your piece is dried by the time you head home. I felt sorry for our teacher though because there were some very rude patrons talking above her. That made it difficult for everyone else, but hey… still a great time and I’ve already made plans for another visit!

Do you want to have a great time with friends and have something to show for it? Then this is the place. Gave it a try on a Tuesday night with my friend and our daughters. The picture looked hard but intriguing so we gave it a go. The instructor was friendly and took time to show you step by step. She also offered help when not instructing. I must say, all of our pictures turned out better than I had even hoped. This is a BYOB place so you can bring in your own beverages and food, even alcohol! Tuesday nights are a really good deal too as they are only $ 20! Definitely check this out if you want to channel your inner artist and even if you think you don’t have one, you will be better than you think!

Love, love, love Uptown Art. My friends and I can’t paint well but have no fear, the instructors are great. We bring wine and a snack and have the best time.
We try to go at least once or twice a month. Great for a girls night out or a date night. I think the Paint your Pet days are the most popular. Looking forward to our next paint night.

We celebrated our birthdays and it was great. Instructions were easy to follow and the instructors encourage your creativity as well. Love the place

Came here for the first time with some girl friends this past week and it was a blast! The instructors and those helping are all so wonderful and helpful. I love how they encouraged all of us to paint our own painting, not make it exactly the same as everyone else’s.
I will be back!

Girlfriend and I went here last nite. The place Is new to her area. Best art place we’ve been to yet. There are so many popping up but this one is a winner!
What made them the winner is the spacious room, artist on a level higher so you could see what she is doing, used paper on the wall to show the color mix. Assist to help with art questions, needs, and even pouring of your wine!
There was dryers for paint to dry quicker so we could proceed without a smear.
At the end, glitter and puffy paint for accents if u want. Got the painting in the kitchen. Looking for to next trip to uptown. See you soon fellow artists.

I went here for a girls night out. We brought our own vino and had an awesome time! Everything was set out so it was easy even if it was your first time there. I arrived with my group but you left feeling like we were part of the entire group. They took a group photo of everyone’s art and helped you along the way. We’re already talking about scheduling our next event there.

Went to Uptown Art with a girlfriend this week and had a blast. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. There were only the two of us, so we basically had a private lesson.
They have tons of paintings to choose from– apparently they have a database of several hundred different pictures.
