Meet the Business Owner
Kara J.
Business Owner
Kara Jenkins was born in the northwest suburbs of Chicago where she and her family raised many different animals; cats, dogs, birds, gerbils, fish, mice, and horses. One of her loves was helping her mother breed, trained and showed their Golden Retrievers. While growing up she worked at her mother’s boarding and grooming facility and learned about the different types of cats and dogs and their behaviors. In addition, she helped with all facets of the kennel’s operations including walking dogs, training, grooming, and marketing. While attending college she cared for several of her friends’ pets when they would take trips. This included some exotic species such as an Iguana, and a Boa constrictor. With her love of animals she continues her education in the pet care industry. When she is not running her business she loves spending time with her family, and her own pets Niko, her own Golden Retriever, Brownie, a rescued chocolate lab, and Hunter a rescued Lab/Golden.
