Southwest Ground Control

What a disaster. We have a large olive tree in the front yard of a house we purchased in June, 2013 (we did not move in until May, 2014 due to our own long distance move and remodeling). Our builder recommended Southwest Ground Comtrol to spray the tree to prevent the growth of olives and the ensuing mess once they fall from the tree. We contacted them in September, 2013 and were informed by their technician, Kenny, that the time of year to spray was January or February to prevent olive growth. We contacted them again shortly after the first of the year, and were told they’d spray the tree. We paid them by credit card over the phone and assumed the work had been done. Well, it’s now late September and there are a million olives covering our front yard, sidewalk and neighbor’s driveway. It’s an absolute mess. When I contacted Southwest Ground Control to ask «what happened… I thought you sprayed our tree», the response I received from their tech was «wow…that’s strange… maybe we sprayed late last year… the stuff we use is good… we’ll come earlier next year.» Either «the stuff they use» is ineffective or they took our money and never sprayed the tree, but there’s no way I would rely on this company again. Run, don’t walk, away from them.

Southwest Ground Control needs to setup a phone service and scheduling system. After the first phone call everything was done via email. This made communications in a timely manner very challenging.
