«Sleazy sales» to summarize my experience. I should’ve checked Unilocal review before signing up for their service. I am experiencing same problem with all other Unilocalers: lied to signing up for 3 years contract. I thought I just signed up for 1 year, testing their service. It was never made clear to me that I will be stuck in 3 years contract with no way out at all.
I am fine paying some termination fee that makes sense (ex: 3 months worth of their service) but turned out I need to pay remaining balance which is 18 more months for termination fee. This is not a termination fee at all (facepalm), it’s plain rip off. You got to pay either way regardless you have service or not.

Bret M did a good job on our install and overview. He took special considerations for our autistic son and was very professional even when I had to run around taking care of my son while talking to him.

SCAM ALERT!!! Notice all of the 5 star reviews (below) from people that have only made 1 review on Unilocal,most likely their people and friends) total scam!!!
This is one of the vulcher companies that continues to call me ON MY CELL PHONE after I bought a new house, even though I have told them repeatedly that I already have a security and surveillance system and do not want to hear from them.
I am also on the national do not call list!!!
I despise people that cold call my cell phone!!!
Don’t bother ME anymore!!! I am tired of blocking all of your phone numbers.
I also believe they are attached to that shady scam package that was dropped of at my new house, all of the companies that are involved with it are low life scammers in my humble opinion.
I will also be reporting them for violating the national do not call list as well.
AVOID THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COSTS!!!

Protection Source runs the super shady «metro delivery» (run a whois on
). These scammers leave fake package delivery «oops, we missed you» notices on your door, appearing to be a legitimate notice to pick up a package. They leave a number for you to call and a «confirmation code» that you have to enter, so they can try to sell you their security systems.
Called the call center twice to have my name removed, and they hung up on me. One even said «well, if you didn’t enter your confirmation code, how can you know all of the grate deals you’re missing out on??». I want NO CONTACT with this company. I’ve reported them to the BBB and Attorney General.

I have been extremely pleased with my alarm and Protection Source. They replaced an existing system with a new one that offered many more features and connectivity than the old one did. Initially, the new system did not cover all of the zones in the house like the old one did but after working with Guardian, Protection Source and the installers (who, by the way, were all very good to work with), we were able to install an additional component that expanded the system to cover all of the zones as we wanted. Our system now delivers all we wanted and more; we couldn’t be happier or have better piece of mind.

The system is easy to use and I like the diff features they have. I like how you don’t have to give your main code to anyone and can create codes for friends and family that they can easily remember. Also, if for some reason you want to set your alarm, but still want to go in and out one door, you can turn off the sensor so you won’t set the alarm off. Easy to use and the system is yours to keep if you move. Pretty cool! In addition, I called cust service to take me off of auto billing and she was helpful and now i receive paper bills and can see what exactly I’m being charged for. Good service.

My wife can sleep a lot better now that Levithecableguy installed an XTI alarm panel. It even has an app!

We had the pleasure of having Levi Johnson as our installer. He was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. We are new to the new home owning/​security system and he made sure we knew step by step how to control our system. We are overly pleased with his service. Thank you Levi!!!

My system was installed the other day by Jordan. He sat down and explained everything to us and made us feel confident in running the system. He took the time that showed us he cared. Very professional. He didn’t even mind my kids asking him a hundred questions.
The system is so easy to work and has all the features that I wanted in an alarm system.
Already have told a handful of friends about it. Thank you once again Jordan for getting us set up in our new home.

Stay away!!! Shady company to deal with. They are salesman and not out for your best interest. 3 day return policy? I been waiting 5 months for them to come get there junk out of my house. Will not return phone calls or emails.

They fixed our issues and things are running great now.

Ever since I bought a home they have called me weekly, despite my efforts to have them remove me from their telemarking list. Avoid at all costs.

I would suggest you avoid this company. Terrible customer service. I have a system with them now and have continued to get the worst CS. I was told I could get service 5 days a week because I live 1 ½ hours from the house that I had this system installed in and needed to be sure service could be provided on a friday and or Monday. Well, of course once system was installed and I needed an appointment I was informed they only service that area on Thursdays. So every time I need servicing its like pulling teeth so half the time I can’t use my alarm system. Sensors fall off the doors — seriously you should be able to get service. Also they do not have an early termination fee so you can’t get out of the contract. Who does this to people. Just say no to this company.

I recently bought a house in Dallas, Texas. Ever since, this company calls me every day, multiple times a day. They don’t leave a message — it’s so irritating. I’ve asked them to stop and they don’t. I’ve blocked them now. I have no idea how they got my contact information. Seems like a scam company to me! They’re only in the business of harassing people.

I want to file a complaint against Protection Source. Since we signed up with them about 8 months ago we have had nothing but terrible customer service and problems. We have called on several occasions because our system was not working as promised. It often took longer than a week before there was availability because they are only available for service 3 days a week and then they gave a 5 hour window of when they would come. On 2 occasions they came past this window, and on one occasions they did not show up at all. They continue to send us the same technician who is supposedly the guy the use for «the tough jobs». This guy could not work his way out of a paper bag. We needed him to install a key pad door look on our garage door; he installed it with the key pad on the house side and the turn ***** on the garage side — which is essentially on the outside!!! Another time they sent him over, he essentially laughed at us for not being able to figure out a problem on our own, which he guaranteed was fixed once he left. This was a problem with gaining remote access to our thermostats. Not only was the problem not fixed, we are being charged additional monthly fees to have that service and this was summer in Phoenix. I believe that our monthly electric bill was several times higher than it might have been if the system had been working like promised. My husband called to file a complaint with the company. On Aug 16^th he spoke with a supervisor, who was supposed to call him back with a resolution. It is not Oct 11 and he still has not received a call back. This was our fifth and the last attempt of trying to solve the same issue. Stay away from this company. They are nothing but headaches!
