No Limits Scuba

I really like No Limits Scuba, especially for their commitment to education. I have done OW and AOW with NLS, and my experience was nothing positive. Instructors are knowledgeable, attentive, supportive, and patient. The focus is not on learning skills to pass the test but rather to become a safe and reliable diver beyond particular classes so that you can enjoy diving. They, for example, encourage you to join them at the pool even if you are not enrolled in a class so that you can maintain and improve skills. Another thing I really like about NLS is its family-​friendliness and its friendly community of divers. We are a family of three with a variety of diving skills, interests, and experiences (I’m the mother and most novice), and NLS staff have a variety of suggestions and range of options to make our diving trips enjoyable and meaningful for everyone in the family. I look forward to taking more classes and participating in the diving trips with NLS divers!

I was very nervous to scuba dive and now feel confident, prepared, and excited for my first official open water dive! I personally checked out all the dive shops in the Chandler area when recommending a shop for my wife to get certified. I chose No Limits Scuba as the shop is large, well stocked, and has a great classroom setting. No limits Scuba were willing to make some accommodations for my wife and I and seemed the most friendly. My wife and I took the certification class with Instructor John Garza, an excellent teacher who was able to adjust his teaching to the individuals in the class and taught above and beyond the course curriculum. It was a treat to work with him in the pool. It was clear he was highly knowledgeable and experienced with teaching all sorts of people. The dive shop had multiple dive masters on hand to make sure that everyone received individual mentoring with their dive skills. The dive masters were all very approachable and made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. No Limits scuba also made the pool available to students between the training sessions to increase the students comfort levels with the equipment. On the checkout dive day there were numerous dive masters ready to help with anything and everything and everyone received individual attention. The dives themselves were great, and the dive masters were able to keep an eye on us at the same time as finding fish to point out to us. No Limits Scuba provided a great certification experience from a team of highly knowledgeable and experienced divemasters with a level of individual attention that was way beyond anything I expected. I would certainly go back for additional classes and certifications. Thank you NLS!
My wife was certified through No Limits Scuba in May of 2015. I was so impressed with No Limits Scuba that I contributed my own Scuba education through then and worked with several instructors and staff members to get specialty certifications in Deep diving, Night Diving, Enriched Air Nitrox gas, Search and Recovery diving, and Boat diving. The most recent certification was the boat certificate on April 24, 2016. I have also worked with the staff to host try it dives for friends, family, and co-​workers. Everyone I have worked with at No Limits has been an excellent teacher, highly experienced diver, and great person to work with. The shop has a great community behind with social events at Lake Pleasant, local restaurants, the shop, and Facebook. The shop also has calendar full of trips to different dice spots from Mexico to Fiji.

No idea where to begin, but these guys are more than just an awesome group of people. Diving is my dream sport and I refuse to let just anyone cerify me or take me on open sea excursions. I did my advanced open water with John Garza as my instructor and her did a fantastic job, very patient, and enjoys what he does. This made being his student even more enjoyable. Recently went to San Carlos with Mike and Gary and they were an entertaining pair. Made my first time in Mexico unforgettable. It also helped that they knew all the dive spots. They were knowledgeable about the local marine life and made the trip very engaging. On the way back we got stuck at the border for three hours, so Gary helped kill the time with putting on Gabriel Iglesias on his ipad. I always say when you go diving, your life expectancy is only as long as your tank has air. Go with people who enjoy what they do. It’s how know they will have your back. The staff at the shop is very friendly and always made sure I was taken care of. I wound recommend them to anyone.

The people here are amazing and make getting your certification hassle-​free! Everyone is super knowledgeable at the shop, they don’t try to over sell you on gear or anything.
Mark was my open water instructor and he was so patient and informative, couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Definitely recommend this place to both new and experienced divers!

Scuba diving in Arizona? Yes! The lake is close and Mexico or San Diego are a quick drive. The staff are awesome. The instructors are are patient and work well with people of all skill levels. They have built a great dive community which meet once a month. Highly recommend this place!

No Limits Scuba is my first experience with a Scuba Company, but they exceeded my expectations of what a great company should strive for. Class sizes were small and intimate, and the instructors were extremely knowledgable and friendly. Scuba diving is something that can quickly turn into disaster if you don’t know what you’re doing, but my pool instructor was so patient and confident that I never once felt unsure or scared during our dives. Thanks guys!

Great service and very knowledgable. My wife was looking for a very lite and small stage one & two set up. Chris arranged for us to stop by and see two new setups and two others that the instructors personally owned. Once we decided, the ordering, configuration and setup was quick.
We feel like we got a great value and by seeing each option, ended up with the best setup. Something we couldn’t do online.
This shop is 20+ miles from my home but well worth the trip. I’ll do all my business with No Limits Scuba.

I was a complete novice with a buckle list to get scuba certified. After some research I walked into No Limits Scuba and was immediately put at ease by Chris. He walked me through the process and before I left had set me up with PADI eLearning, followed by pool training by Scuter and Glen and them Mike took me to the lake. They made a dream come true and are complete professional.

I moved to AZ 6 months ago. I visited 2 other shops before luckily finding this one. The minute I walked in you can feel the good vibes. You feel at home, like it’s your shop, like your part of a team. That’s how it’s supposed to feel! Diving is a way of life and these people get it. They don’t try to sell you gear you don’t need and are experts on the gear they have. No problem getting on the Internet to look at and compare other gear and provide input on pros and cons. If they don’t have it, they will get it for you and get you a great deal on it. No hasels. I have never given 5 stars. I have not dove or made a trip with them but I would in heartbeat and I’m sure I will in the future. If you haven’t found your local shop or want to find the best try it.

I have driven past their location a few times. I finally decided to go in and see what they have to offer. I AM GLAD I DID!
My wife is thinking about getting her Open Water certification. I was also looking at a BCD they had on consignment. I was ready to purchase and they recommended that I try it first. I did not expect that kind of service. I scheduled a time and they were happy when I arrived and brought out some tanks and weights.
This is what was not expected. They offered to take my wife and daughter to the pool and have them «TRY» SCUBA at the pool while I tried the BCD AT NO COST!
The BCD worked GREAT and my wife and daughter enjoyed the experience. While we did not sign up immediately, they were more interested in ensuring that we were happy with the experience and willing to work with us when were ready.
Today, I wanted to try a 3 mm consignment suit. NO PROBLEM. I rented a tank and went to my in-​laws pool.
THIS IS A PLACE I AM GLAD I FOUND. When my wife is ready, THIS WILL BE THE PLACE! They have the best staff and customer service! I went to other SCUBA places in the East Valley. When every thing is said and done — I TRUST No Limits SCUBA!

We recently went on a dive trip to Roatan Honduras that was all setup through No Limit Scuba team. We had the best time ever. Every detail was taken care by the dive shop and we just showed up, did tons of diving & really had an amazing week. Every single person that you come into contact with at No Limit Scuba is friendly, knowledgable and extremely helpful. I highly recommend this shop & I have personally recommended them to many of my friends & family.

I was pleased to find this scuba shop so close. I looked into Unilocal reviews and online searches of other shops and then called around asking for prices. No Limits Scuba was the cheapest option and gave rockin’ awesome discounts for me and my friend, who was going to do open water certification with me, and my husband, who was going to do a refresher course (group/​couple discounts are the way to go!).
My husband is a small business owner and from a family of small business owners so we are well versed on the art of customer service. I have been totally shocked, especially when I became a home owner and came into contact with more small businesses because of it, of the number of businesses that operate on horrible business practices, among which is customer service. I have found very few businesses that I would recommend to my friends, among which is No Limits Scuba.
They are great on the phone, being extremely friendly and helpful and quick to answer. They return phone calls like no one else. They are awesome in person. My instructor could not have been more patient, helpful, or knowledgeable. And from my observation of the instruction of a child by another instructor, a place I would definitely take my whole family to certify (once my kids are old enough).
The flexibility can not be compared. With very few exceptions, they let you pick the times that are best for you. Their pool is mainly used for certifications, not taken up by too many swimming lessons, like one shop I looked into with a more limited class schedule availability. I had to do nights and weekends and not Sundays and they worked around me without blinking an eye. Scuba is one of those hobbies that things (like colds and injuries) come up suddenly and can lead to cancellations. It’s always painful to cancel on somebody you love to work with when that’s their employment but they brush off your schedule changes with benevolence.
Do you have any places at which you look forward to spending money? I would have said no until I experienced No Limits Scuba. Buying something feels like giving back. Seriously, with their prices, I don’t know how anyone there makes anything! When I asked my instructor, he informed me that he loves what he does.
You won’t regret your choice to go to this scuba shop. I even looked up the prices of some of their gear online and their shop is extremely comparable! Except, at a shop you get to try it on! And if you don’t like it after trying it out, they’ll find something else you like better instead! Seriously, how can you lose? If I wasn’t a harried mom of four little kids, I should get a job there! I can’t stop gushing about this place. As a perfectionist, it’s so refreshing to see people who take pride in their work. Awesome, just awesome.

Absolutely love this shop. They’ve been nothing but super helpful and friendly. Great selection of dive gear and not to mention an extensive class list with everything from open water certification to shark diving to underwater photography and advanced dive classes. I’m starting my open water classes next week and I can’t wait. I know I made the right choice by picking No Limits Scuba.

Love the community support this shop gives! From holding learning seminars and exhibits to supporting club chapters. Top notch and very friendly. I’ve gone on one trip to Cozumel with them and another coming up to Roatan. Great local shop…

I’m going to have to side with the vinyl on the window. NLS does open at 10am M-​F, and thankfully for me, my second excursion to this unexpectedly spacious scuba store was fortuitous.
Walking in, I executed the traditional panoramic overview, sweeping my head from left to right, at which point I noticed Sheldon. Throwing him a head-​nod, I offered up a «What’s up?» that probably sounded more like «S’up». That is the bane of being raised on the streets of suburban Massachusetts, where the kids who weren’t allergic to bee stings called the shots, and would gut you as soon as look at ya.
I mean, I wasn’t actually raised ON the streets, but I did spend a fair share of my time playing near them.
I’ve been to a handful of dive shops here in the valley, and NLS has one of the larger showrooms. Their assortment of gear isn’t as vast as say, Sports Chalet, but its not a corporate conglomerate… and although I’m pretty sure I used that word incorrectly, as an adjective, it provided the appropriate amount of disparagement.
Interesting note… purchases over $ 700, if made through an approved GE Capital line of credit, will enjoy a full Gregorian calendar year of deferred interest. Combine that with the 10% discount extended for being a club member, and that, my friend, spells savings.
For example, the regulator, oct (the yellow line and breather), wireless tank transmitter, and gigantic wrist computer I’m looking at run about $ 1900 combined. Subtract the 10%, and divide principal-​only payments over 12 months, factor in sales tax… minus the amortization, carry the two…
OK, I think we can all agree, I’m no math whiz. But, if you purchase a regulator, you’ll get the Equipment Specialist course for free. That’s a total prize package worth over $ 160 US… and I’m gonna do it… and not just because I said I was going to do it in this review… although that is mostly the reason.
And if lake diving aint yo thang, then stop by the trip and travel kiosk, located conveniently in the west wing. NLS hosts monthly trips to San Carlos MX for only $ 599 pp based on double occupancy. Here’s the kicker. You ain’t staying in some musty hotel. No my friend, your accommodations are located in an oceanfront luxury home. That’s how Antonio Banderas would roll, and gosh darn it, why should your roll have any less butter than his? Two days of 3 tank dives are included, with an available third day of room and diving for a modest up-​charge.
Have a little more chang-​chang in your pocket, then consider Honduras. Not only are they know for cigars and the flesh trade, but their diving is unparalleled. Two words: shark diving. Get up close and personal with the spiney blast-​bots of the sea. Only $ 1650 pp based on double occupancy.
All trip deposits are $ 500 min. All gear can be rented at NLS. I’m happy to have a shop, close enough to my house, to call my own.
P. S. That same GE credit card can be used at Global Bikes too.

I received my Padi Open Water Scuba Dive certification here a couple of weeks ago and the staff there is Awesome! They are all very friendly, helpful, patient and just down right Fun! I got a Great deal on my certification (through Amazon Local) and it included everything with the exception of my own mask, snorkel, fins and boots. They never pressured me to buy from their shop, only offered it as an option. Great Experience and Highly Recommended!
